Went on a week day and ate in the dining room which proved to be a lovely experience. The meals were generous and well cooked , and came out at the same time so the children were happy too... highly recommend !

As a family of 15 guests we thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch today. The food was all cooked from scratch and very delicious. The Pilgrims Hall is staffed by very helpful people who go out of their way to accommodate your every need. I can honestly highly recommend this venue.

Loved our stay here, this was the first night of our walking the Augustine Camino and I wish we had scheduled more time here. On my list of places to visit with more time.
The rooms are very quaint, beds firm but comfortable and the library is just amazing. Food was plain and simple and staff where really helpful in sorting out a take out breakfast as we had an early start.

WOW! What an experience. Never have I been to such an incredible facility in my life. The staff were excellent (especially megan) and deserve a pay raise! Will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely afternoon tea today for a late Mother’s Day celebration. Food and staff were wonderful. They catered to my need of gluten-free bread and it all tasted delicious. I had many fellow customers come and admire. A lovely day.

Fantastic! Afternoon tea in the great hall was so wonderful-tasy sandwiches, and loads, loads of cake! Pots of tea and cofffee if you want. Specially reserved table with my name personally written. So tasty- well done catering and waiting ;staff. The most tranquil and serene place- I love The Friars. So peaceful. Beautiful gardens, chapels and shop. Thank you all for your hard work. I will return many times no doubt.

Can anyone come and light a candle for a loved one? And if so where do you go to do this?
Yes of course, all are welcome. Candles can be found in the various chapels and are £3.00 each. There are donation boxes for you to put your money in. The chapels are locked at 5pm each day.

What are room prices and availability for 1 adult durng July 2018?
Hi there, our prices range from £35 - £66.50 depending on the board basis you wish to take. Availability also depends on what day of the week you would like to come. You can get in touch with the guesthouse via email or alternatively call 01622 717272. Thank you, The Friars

No you can't, simple as that.
However, they do have a lovely North Barn that you can hire out for a Reception. Contact them directly for prices and details. It is very good value
