This was my first outing in a kayak and I can't emphasize how enjoyable this entire experience was to participate in. The tour operators are top rate professionals who oversee the navigation after a short orientation session on how to manoeuvre the boats and to paddle efficiently and effectively. The tour operates heading downstream which makes moving along through the wilderness really quite effortless. Along the way there are some obstacles such as S-bends and felled trees to get around which offers some good skils development for learner kayakers. As an excellent bonus Leanne narrates the tour with extremely informative description of local flora and fauna from a conservationalist's perspective, providing some truly surprising knowledge and facts en route. There is a midway rest break and a chance to munch a snack and take beverages. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS EXPEDITION to anyone interested in going where no other vehicle could possibly take you and to see absolutely beautiful scenerly and creatures as you drift and paddle down the Big Creek toward Port Rowan for a fantastic 4 hours of fun and learning. Well worth it! At the end of the tour you are driven back to the starting point, so it's an easy one logistically too! Overall, a top notch day outing! Thank you!

My boyfriend and I did the zip lining tour with Steven and Allison. We had such a great time and we’re lucky enough to be the only ones in the group. Steven and Allison were fun, professional and very knowledgeable about local history. We felt both safe and secure and had the best time! Thanks for making our day awesome!

I booked my grandchildren ages 13 and 14 in for a Zipline tour and the absolutely loved every second. When they were finished the tour we had lunch on the Marshview patio. They were so excited to share about their tour which was full of funny stories about the the tour guides and about everything they learned as this was their very first time on a zipline. The resteraunt was absolutely delicious as my grandson said ...it's the best burger I've ever had in my life!! What a great day! I have some accessibility issues so ziplining is out for me but I felt so good about providing them the opportunity. We will definitely be back. My only constructive advice would be to have some accessible parking available by your ramp. I lucked out and was able to get parking there but if there hadn't been I probably would not have been able to enjoy lunch with them. Otherwise everything was stupendous!!! Love Abby our server she was so kind and fun!!

Glamping experience only. They spread themselves thin. Too many things to focus on with the Reno’s and activities. Unfortunately there was mold in the tent. Way too expensive for what you get. The beds were excellent and heated, I’ll give them that.

If you’re looking to have an amazing time and learn more than you could ever expect about the local biosphere, you have to join the Big Creek River Kayak tour with Leanne Lemaich.
This tour has everything you could ask for: amazing kayaking experience, gorgeous surroundings, and a guide who is perfect for the job (among other conservation efforts, Leanne also raises cecropia/giant silk moths to help keep the biosphere healthy)! Leanne’s enthusiasm, experience, and dedication to conservation efforts is contagious. You’ll leave the tour feeling refreshed and appreciative of what nature gives us.
Along with her assistant Ashley, Leanne and her team provide an amazing, unforgettable experience!!

This was the best Zip Line experience I had ever had. Alison and Mike made us feel right at home. Laughter and excitement, that's all I can say. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories. I gotta bring the grandkids to check this out too!

the creek was incredibly beautiful and somewhat off the beaten track! we really would not have known there was a creek there! The guided tour was excellent. Lots of excellent natualist information and excellent kayaking support to make sure that no one got left behind nor ran into difficulty. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff and guides was exceptional. I would highly recommend this as wonderful experience off the beaten track! They were very upfront with the recommended things to bring

I highly recommend this adventure ! Great way to learn so much about the area as our guide Leanne was excellent. She has a wealth of knowledge to share. It was a great learning experience. The scenery was beautiful . It is an adventure you do not to miss out on!

My lovely lady took me for a wild Ziplining adventure through the gorgeous Fall colours. Zach and Will were excellent guides with tons of knowledge of the area and made us all feel completely safe during our Zipline tour. With their unique personalities, we had the time of our lives Zipping along all the do da day!! We stayed overnight in one of the Wilderness Suites and it was super clean and fun. I highly recommend visiting Long Point Eco-Adventures for a unique and thrilling experience. Great for families and kids of all ages. This 52-year-old Kid sure had a blast! The couch at home will be there when you get back, for now leave it alone and go make some special memories. Chris C

I do not know but I did see others with their dogs walking all over and along the hiking trails. I am sure a call to the resort can answer your question. Great dog vacay too!

There are a lot of hiking trails and it's not too far from Long Point bay (if you have a 'water dog')/beach.
Based on the activity of your dog vs you - there are also Mountain bike rentals(or bring your own). Although, I've seen dogs get pretty pooched after an 1h of MTBing.
The winery has an outside patio - so I imagine you could enjoy a glass of wine with your dog.

If you visit the Long Point Eco-Adventures website and click the word "accommodation" on the toolbar across the top, you can select the type of accommodation you want and the price will pop up. For example, clicking "Wilderness Suites" in that drop down will take you to the page of their site where the cost to stay in the Wilderness Suites. along with what that accommodation offers, appears.
Under the link called "Adventures" in that same toolbar, you can find the prices and descriptions for different activities available on site, like doing the zip line or taking a Zodiac Boat Tour during your visit.

I was looking into booking observatory session for April 8, if the weather is not favourable for the activity how much in advance will we be notified?
Also are there any pictures of the sight where the activity takes place.

Thanks for the interest in the Observatory! The tour takes place on site, there are pictures of the dome on our website, we are working on getting more action shots soon! If you look up Long Point Eco Adventures on Youtube, you can see some pretty good moments on deck as well!
It looks like the April 8th tour is already fully booked. If you are interested in further dates and weather is unfavourable we send out cancellation calls at 3 pm the day of!

Many of our adventures are for ages 8 and up. We do have lots of families that join us as we are a 5 minute drive from the beach, have lots of hiking trails for all ages and provide an amazing site to come relax, unwind and spend quality time with the family!
