Fantastic little local cinema.
Very old school but a great place to watch the latest selection of films.

This place is AMAZING!! Like stepping back in time! There was even a lady playing the organ before the film. I think it may just be Sundays they have that. Just marvellous. Fantastic experience overall, take a blanket if you're going in winter

Best cinema experience

Such a treat. A lovely old cinema taking you back in time while watching a very up to date film - Bond.
The big cinema chains try to get two shows a night in, meaning it is either too early or too late - not the Rex, 7.15 showing, £5.50 a ticket and local ice cream for £2 for a decent tub per person. Only an idiot would go elsewhere!

Just Jenny’s ice cream is all it’s about

Reasonably priced tickets. Nostalgic feel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great for parking. Great to know you are supporting an independent business. The ice cream intermission is also the best!

Nostalgia personified

Everyone should take step back into the golden era in time to appreciate this jewel.
Proper foyer where you can order tea/coffee in a proper mug and take it to your very plush, comfortable original seat.
At the intermission the ice cream lady complete with tray is available for all of the old style treats.
A fabulous experience.

Good old-fashioned cinema

I love this place. It is an old fashioned cinema right down to the interval when the ice cream comes out. Great atmosphere. The staff are lovely. Perfect place to watch a movie. No loud talking or hot food here. Good place for all ages. Don't want to praise it too much or it might be full the next time I want to go.

Great cinema

A great cinema for an inexpensive night out. comfortable seating and good interval tea and coffee. Worthwhile dressing warmly in winter. Easy to park nearby.

We love this cinema small, welcoming and perfect for us

We love this place, cosy all on one level and very comfortable. Selection of films is excellent. We enjoy the hot mug of tea half way through. We don’t go to the big impersonal cinemas anymore. Three cheers for the Rex at Elland

Old time cinema with organ.

A little gem of a traditional cinema showing a mixture of new and classic films and live streamed theatrical events. Also have a yearly "Sons of the Desert" evening - excellent! Extremely good value for money!
