While the outside attractions are free to visit, apart from a small car parking charge, the indoor Scramble Experience, an exciting audio-visual introduction to the Battle of Britain with a wealth of hands-on things to do and touch screen access to a huge amount of information, is the only paid-for option. You might be able to have a picnic actually at the site - I suggest you call them. A little way away are a pub and tea shop actually on the cliff top and the White Cliffs Nat Trust area just N of Dover would require a parking fee but the views are stunning. That's the other side of Dover. Nearby on the same Southern side as the Memorial is the Samphire Hoe nature reserve - again you'd have to pay to park but it's attractive with lots of picnic possibilities. V close to the Memorial is East Cliff & Warren Country Park but I haven't been there and don't know about the parking situation. Good luck from Janet

Yes - as the kind people below have already mentioned, there is a charge, which goes to help the costs of maintaining the memorial and preserving the memory of the Few.
