A well loved soft value that has been going for a long time. My little one loves this place and can't wait to return. The play area is clean, huge and covers multiple levels and there is lots for little ones to do. Its affordable priced and the food is too, well its not the healthiest food but its OK in my book to have a treat occasionally. Plenty of cheap food options for adults too.
Overall great.
Only negative is the car park, holes need filling in as they are getting a bit big now and you have to drive carefully through them.

I came here for the first time and was quite excited. The kid seemed to like it at first but the slide is badly maintained and my daughter got loads of scratches at the bottom. Also, I explained we have severe allergies and have brought our own snacks and they said that was fine, then they came over half way through (after we paid already for tea muffins and entry which you even have to pay for adults - so around 35 pounds so far) and he told us we can’t even drink from our own flasks and we need to buy water from them too? Water is free so I don’t see why i would buy it .. but anyway rubbish experience never coming here again.

good if it isnt busy - we got lucky and it was very nice as there were only about 5 other kids there - as such our children pretty much had the place to themselves and really enjoyed themselves as this was the first post lockdown soft play we had done in almost two years
we will be going back but not on the weekends when i assume its mental !

Visited on there first day of opening, I booked over the phone and arrived at our time slot.
Easy to get in and the staff were welcoming and cleaning and so on was evident the whole time we were their.
The place was clean and we got a table which are all moved and much better set out like this.
I ordered a tea and some snacks which were reasonable and brought to our table.
Great visit and we be back, my son had a great time and hadn’t stopped talking about it since his visit.

Arrived to find a car park in severe disrepair, massive potholes everywhere. Outside of the building and outside play area gave the place the feel of walking into a long abandoned site, looked partly derelict with a mouldy old van abandoned near the front. There is an overpowering smell of sewage/stagnant water outside also. Once inside the place looks in need of a bloody good clean. Ordered food and had to wait ages, when I asked the staff what was happening with our food they were rude and unapproachable with comments like 'It'll be ready when it's ready' and 'This isn't McDonalds you know'. When we did finally get our food it was pretty much slapped down in front of me and without a word said. My daughter banged her face whilst there and when asked for an ice pack there was no concern shown by the staff, no question of whether or not she was ok or any suggestion of an accident form (which should be pretty standard for a pace like this). The toilets were also inadequate and dirty. Don't know how people are rating this more than 1 star, they must be blind.

My daughter had her 5th birthday party at Monkey Mates this past weekend with 20 of her friends as an exclusive hire on Saturday night. Everything was perfect. The play centre was spotlessly clean and our party room was decorated in an amazing way! Party balloons, face masks, special plates for the food. The food and drinks served for the children was great and we also had the cafe open for parents to get hot and cold drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The children all had a wonderful time and so did the parents! This was a stress free party and they charge well below what other play centres charge for exclusive hire. We will be booking another party next year for sure!

Visited on several weekdays and it is always pretty quiet, lots of parking and reasonable prices to get in.
The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome - my little one loves all the areas and caters for lots of ages- in the summer the outside area is open those it is tired and could do with refreshing.
The seating area is a bit messy and not that clean always but drinks/ food are reasonable and again staff pleasant and helpful.

My kids have always liked this place. Small enough to feel comfortable and not be insanely busy like some of the mega play centres. However plenty to keep them occupied and playing for a few hours. Mine are now three and five and still really like it. Food and drink is basic but cheap. It is clean but a bit worn- so what, the kids have a great time.

I take my 3 year old son to monkey mates quite regularly , often with some friends and their kids.
It’s not the most modern soft play and it’s certainly looking a bit old and tired but honestly the kids love it and contrary to previous reviews I don’t find it dirty and the ladies are always wiping tables, sweeping floors and hoovering etc.
The ladies who work there are so lovely and kind, always friendly and polite.
In the week it’s never ridiculously busy meaning that the kids can run off to play and we can have a coffee while being able to see them.
The cafe provides quite basic offerings and the quality isn’t great but in all honesty the kids only want to stop briefly to refuel and so the offerings, for the price you pay, are incredibly reasonable.
