The C-mine grounds are beautifully decorated and worth a visit in themselves. At the cash register of C-mine our children (3 and 6 years) were spoken to in a great way by one of the employees. The children received a super fun DIY book, a treasure hunt and a belt with supplies such as a flashlight and magnifying glass. Then went into the air shafts of the mine where you get more information at various points with an audio device. Very interactive and beautifully decorated. Eventually you can climb the high tower to search for Cyriel the Cricket with the collected clues. Quite a challenge but the children visibly enjoyed it! At the end, the children can make a medal themselves. As far as we are concerned the best trip of the region!!

We wanted to go IN the mines.
Did a little research, and got out of here.
The site has been nicely refurbished and landscaped.
For the children there is a lot to do.
However, the mine itself is a bit disappointing.
Few steps down, and then a very short walk in the air duct. But the mines themselves are no longer visible.
The explanation is ok, we have learned something.
Climbing the highest tower (with the spiral staircase) gave us a very nice view of the region.
Afterwards there also something to drink and candy (nachos) - very smooth and friendly service.
This was a nice preparatory visit, and not expensive at all. On our way home we were already looking for a location where you can really enter the mines.

While the overall experience was pleasant, I couldn't help but feel that the portrayal of life in the mines was very idealistic. Despite this, the ascent up the mining tower was very nice.

Clear explanation with guidance up to the starting point.
Easy to use audio guide, lovely powerful sentences on the walls guide you through the underground story.
Once you climb the stairs to the top of the installation, you have a unique view of the region

On spec to Beringen.
At the ticket sales desk a very friendly lady asked what our wishes were. Guide or no guide. She went to inquire and said that a guide would come with us in fifteen minutes. We were 9 people, had to pay for 10, but cheaper than if we were to go out alone with 9.
Our guide was great. With enormous enthusiasm and as an expert by experience, he talked about how and what happened in and around the mine.
A fantastic tour, very worthwhile.

Hello, I am a little disappointed by the visit. I've had better mine visits. Apart from the scenography was good otherwise nothing special. No machines, no films, no real mine atmosphere...

Leuk om te zien en te doen.
Wij waren met kids van 5 jaar en 8 jaar, prima en ook op kinderen ingericht.

Wij bezochten C-mine op een regenactige dag. Het was helemaal niet druk (wij gingen buiten de vakantie-periode). De informatie wordt op een leuke manier gedeeld, het is helemaal geen saai museum. Leerrijke ervaring.

We hebben een leuke middag gehad bij het bezoeken van deze expeditie. Het is op een leuke interactieve manier weergegeven. Onderweg duidelijke uitleg middels de audio-tour. En natuurlijk geweldig om de schachttoren te beklimmen voor een prachtig uitzicht!

Helaas door de jongste kinderen (2 jaar) hebben wij niet de c-mine experience kunnen doen. Maar wel kunnen rondlopen in de grote hal (gratis). Fantastisch om te zien. Ook de torens zijn indrukwekkend. We komen hier zeker terug wanneer de kids groter zijn.
