The extensive area of Meco is one of the most appetizing alternatives to the increasingly populated beaches of the surrounding area. The dunes, cliffs and pine trees give it a unique natural beauty, with corners for all tastes.

Sand as far as the eye can see and the water was good, but...
The sand is not fine, and above all, the waves are of great violence like waves of 2 meters that burst 2 meters from the edge.
In fact, there were more people at the beach restaurant than sunbathing on the beach.
Naturist area walking south. Riding the dune can be fun too.

Good place!!!
Really good food,
Super extensive meco beach, pity the water temperature, really cool, for my taste other than open. The beaches of galapos and gslapinhos veryyyyyy cool, with agüita ok, fish restaurants ok, Troia if you can visit it

Beach with extensive sandy, clean and with enough hats and chairs to rent. Bathrooms accessible to everyone. For me the only other way is the sea, was red flag, sea very agitated and dangerous.

Very clean and beautiful beach, good access and parking can always be found, even if many people, and costs0.80 - 1 euro. The waves are very beautiful and quite strong, for lovers of activity. For small children it is unlikely to be possible to buy, but the water is cool enough. But the sand is white and very nice. The views are very beautiful. One of my favorite beaches on the Atlantic.

Even the drive through villages and pine forests is beautiful. Parking is available all day for only 1€! The beach is extensive, the waves neat. It is too dangerous for children, even if sections are guarded. Only for experienced swimmers! You can see all the way to Lisbon. Infrastructure in place.

I can't find the establishment, but we happened to arrive at the Bar do Peixe maco located on this beach and I wanted to leave a review.
It’s an excellent restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean.
The service is perfect. We arrived late, because we were looking for a nice restaurant around the Albufeira lagoon.. (there isn't one 😂)
There was a lot of waiting and yet the room manager agreed to seat us and the children, which I found very appreciable.
The fish is excellent, the wine, and the desserts too. A restaurant that I keep on my favorite list and where we will return with great pleasure.

Just one of those places that feels like Heaven on Earth. Praia do Meco faces perfectly West, which means you can sit anywhere on the beach and watch a stunning sunset unfold right before your eyes.
The coastline here has a wilder feel to it - the day we visited there were big rollers on the ocean with all the sound and spray of crashing waves. The beach itself is vast and stretches out in both directions so you can easily find a spot to yourself if you want, or if you prefer some hustle and bustle there are two beach bars right next to each other by the car park (which provides shaded parking and only costs 1 Euro for the whole day!).

We were here 2 years ago. Very wide sandy beach. Very spacious. There is enough space next to the lounger areas if you want to have some privacy. Not so suitable for small children though as there are strong currents and often high waves. Some nudists, but if that doesn't bother you or if that's exactly what you're looking for, then this is the place for you. Parking is available for €1 for the whole day. Clean toilets with staff, as well as beach restaurants.

Excellent beach, good access, well maintained and very quiet for a good day of leisure. the only negative aspect will be the strength of the tides that are felt on this beach.

No sé si legalmente está permitido, pero lo que sí puedo decirte es que no hay ningún cartel o indicación que lo prohíba y los dos días que hemos ido la semana pasada (23 y 24 de agosto), hemos visto perros y nadie se ha quejado ni ha protestado.
