The buildings are very well preserved and definitely worth a detour. Especially the pompous church must be seen.
I would have liked to give the full five points, but the courtyard of the monastery really disappointed us! It looked totally unkempt. That's a shame, because with a little effort you could turn the spacious courtyard into a true gem. There are, in my view, various possibilities for this. During our visit you could have thought of yourself in an average garden, because we primarily saw unkempt grass that should be mowed. Definitely not a place to linger. It would be wonderful if this were changed so that you like to visit the courtyard, sit on a bench and enjoy the sight. If done well, it could certainly reach further target group(s).

Beautiful monastery and a good place to spend an hour or two just relaxing and contemplating in peace. Quiet and serene.
Inside, which one can freely walk into the Church, a sight to see......lovely works of art and images on the ceilings of the Church and all around works of wonder.......well worth venturing in.
The grounds are spacious and include a restaurant and a small brewery, and I think dorms of guests.... ...Unfortunately as it was a Sunday everything was shut..... another day for the beer and cider tasting....

Gorgeous monastry, very well maintained on the edge of the village with a busstop in front. The church and chapel are very well maintained. They sell some homebrewed beer at the brewery

Il posto ideale per iniziare una camminata di 12 km tutto intorno alla zona del monastero e godersi un panorama mozzafiato. Alla fine del giro una visita al monastero è d'obbligo, così come alla Brauerei

Hatten ein 2tägiges Geschäftsmeeting im Kloster Fischingen.
Übernachtung war ruhig, sauber und erholsam. Alles was wir brauchten war im Zimmer.
Das Essen war für mich als Veganer und glutenfrei ein Schmaus. Lecker und super angerichtet.

Eine Oase der Ruhe und in wirklich gutem Erhaltungszustand. Der Besuch lohnt sich und nebenbei kann man auch noch das wirklich feine Pilgrim-Bier des Klosters geniessen.

Das Kloster Fischingen hat eine geschichtsträchtige und spannende Vergangenheit. Die Klosteranlage ist übersichtlich und hat viele interessante Geschichten zu erzählen. Aber auch die kleine aber feine Brauerei Pilgrim mit seinen speziellen, auserwählten Bieren, ist interessant, kann besichtigt werden und die Bierbrauer nehmen sich Zeit und vermitteln immer wieder Neues. Ich bin immer wieder gerne zu Gast im Kloster Fischingen.
