I really enjoyed visiting this fairground with my mum on our holiday in Skegness, to see what it was like. Looking around all the shops including toy shops and clothing stores was a real surprise, and so was the rides. My only issue here was the toilets because of the hygiene. Nevertheless, I'd definitely come here in the summer again if I wanted to.

I've reviewed the 2023 fear island before had to write about my terrifying 2024 visit. Seriously the mazes are world class and the new 9 circles maze is no different. I'd like to apologise to the grave digger in 9 circles as I was a bit of a wimp even though I'm normally Fearless but he was so nice and probably would have chickened out if not for him. I also need to point out that all the other have been changed almost completely so don't think that it's a one off and done.

OMG, first time at the scare fest, My grown up kids said let's go, it will be a laugh!!!
I've never been so terrified in my life.
The people dressed up and playing the roles of zombies and other horrible things were just fabulous.
I have to say a 53yr old person at the point of tears want her mum, was not my idea of fun so thanks for that guys x

Great day out here. Lots of rides, attractions, shops, arcades, food places, toilets and market to look round. A bit tacky but we love it and come every year.

Fun but in a scummy way. Think outer London if it was a seaside town and a lot scummier. Saying that, it is still very fun but you need to be prepared for a large amount of weed smells in the toilets.
The pyramid in the centre of the park feels like a smaller and budget universal. Think volcano bay type theming but cheaper. In terms of location,
It is perfect If you are staying in a caravan’s nearby. The park offers on site caravans that if you stay there, you can get park tickets included.
The odyssey is the parks main rollercoaster. If you wish to go on it then brace yourself. Keep your head back and hold on as this ride is rough, very rough. The parks older rollercoaster, millennium is much smoother and a much less painful ride experience.
During our visit, the rapids water was green and foamy. I am not sure if this has been fixed but keep that in mind.
If you go to the market, do not let your children play test the toys as the owners will shout at you.
Overall, I would recommend this park to any one who is in the area and looking for a good day out.

I went into Ravenous at the very end yesterday on my own. I just wanted to say a huge thank you. All the scare entertainment was brilliant and very scary, but this one was particularly good. The characters were brilliant. Excellent. It was close up and felt very real. I loved it. I really recommend going.

We visit Ingoldmells every year and always go to Fantasy Island when we do. The rides were closed on Monday and Tuesday but open Wednesday until Sunday when we left. They had additional scare attractions on which were all amazing but a little scary for some of my family! The theme park itself and all the staff were lovely... At first.
We then had an issue with one of our bands that we got from a wristband hut near the volcano. It was working then it wasn't. We went back to the same hut and the girl who served us couldn't fix it. (Short hair and glasses with impeccable manners). She then radioed a lady who could. She turned up with what i assumed may have been her young boyfriend. After what felt like a grilling from the blonde lady (who was apparently a manager), we finally had our wristband swapped. The young man with her gave us daggers the whole time and made my children very uncomfortable.
The lady then left the hut to stand with the man and proceeded to berate both myself and the helpful staff member go the man. I was appalled and quickly hurried my children away as they heard it too.
We then popped into the ticket office inside where they explained the lady wasn't really a manager but a cash team leader and that she would always berate the staff. I couldn't believe someone like that would be put In a position of leadership to impact both the staff and customers.
These "supervisors" ruined the afternoon for us. We walked past them several times and felt like they were trying to intimidate us by staring and laughing at us.
It's such a shame because both of the staff I spoke to were lovely and the ride controllers.

We've been before but not for a few years, and I have to say I think Fantasy Island is a great day out for all the family. The kids (aged 14, 11 and 8) had a superb time and I thoroughly recommend spending a full day here.
Wristband prices are good value. I didn't realise beforehand but apparently there is a blue light discount too if you are eligible. In fact the 'worst' part of the day was collecting the wristbands as the queue took ages at 11am. I wonder if the queues to collect inside the tent would have been quicker. There is a wide variety of rides for all ages. Sadly The Odyssey was closed when we were there but everything else was open. The best bit really is that there are generally very short queues - you usually had to wait around 5 minutes max to get on which meant the kids really got their money's worth. I think they went on about 15 rides (some more than once) during the day.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Prices of the food are good. One thing that impressed me that I have never seen in the UK before is that if you keep your QR code from the start, you can download any photos to your phone for free at the end of the day. No need to pay high prices for your ride photos!
In summary I think it's a really good value day out, and thoroughly recommend Fantasy Island. The kids slept in the car on the way home which is always a sign of an exciting day out!

Bit long in the tooth for the fair which wasn’t open!
Some of the market was closed but still a good selection of stalls!

Visited with our adult disabled son. He is 5cm shorter than the minimum height to ride alone, but has previously been on most of the rides accompanied by his taller sister. We asked if it was possible for him to ride those where he was above minimum height, and the ride manager spoke with us and gave permission for him to go on certain rides. He had a fantastic day, we just let him do his own thing, and he was kind enough to go on a couple of rides with his mum. We had pre booked a wristband for him, and an i card for us, we worked out on individual ride prices we had saved over £35 for his rides alone. When going for a second ride on one coaster the staff member Joss would not let him ride, the ride manager was called and explained the situation, and Jon was able to ride again, but we were very impressed with Joss and his concern with the safety of our son, he did a great job and was flexible enough to call the ride manager to resolve the situation. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful. We missed the worst of the heavy rain by accessing the inside rides in the pyramid, and had lunch inside, and ended up having a great day out.

Do we need to purchase wristbands to go on the rides. Or can we just pay on arrival. Like whatever ride we want to go on, can we just pay the fee of £3 or £5, etc. Not really explained in detail or on FAQ’s. That you cannot go on a ride without a wristband. All of us are 5”7 and above. So we qualify for your height restrictions. Please let us know as we will be going on the bank holiday weekend (26 August). Thanks, Muhammed.

You can pay per ride if you want , at the entrance when you go in there’s the desk where you buy wristbands to your right there’s 2 machines where you can buy a fantasy island card and top it up by using cash or card one machine is cash one machine is card and you can pay per ride, and like the wristband you just tap it on the scanner on the ride as you go through. Then throughout the park by odyssey for example you can top up at the kiosk either by cash or card with the person behind the desk.

Would like to take the grandchildren this summer but VERY concerned about all the negative "carparking scam charges" posted on here?
Is it really that bad, as there seems to be MANY complaints about buying a ticket but still getting a huge fine!?!

Hi,
Yes, we are aware of the occasional car parking comments.
The car park is run by a separate third-party business, and we have little, if any, say on how they run it.
Costs there are quite simple though
£2 = 1 hour
£4 = 2 hours
£8 = full day
I think the confusion generally lies with people paying £2 thinking they get 2 hours, and so caught out by the vigilant attendants.
We'd hate you to miss out on all the fun here at Fantasy Island because of a simple parking misunderstanding, so please join us soon.

Thank you for your query; I am sure you can understand that Health and Safety is the park’s number one priority.
I can confirm that only two of our attractions have weight restrictions;
Dragon Mountain.
After reviewing the ride manufacturer’s instructions, the park introduced a weight limit and made Dragon Mountain a two-person ride only (1 x child, 1 x adult).
Wild Water Rapids.
To ensure the Water rapids are loaded correctly, the ride works on a code system; green indicates customers are safe to ride, and red indicates that the boat’s safe weight limit will be exceeded.
When you and your family \ friends decide on a date to visit, if you are concerned that some restraints may be too small, I suggest contacting us (via this email address). Upon receiving this email, we can arrange a meeting with our Attractions Manager before the park opens to check any restraints that may be an issue. This way no time will be spent wasted in queues.

Just for the day (not sleeping in) the main car park is plenty large enough and no height restrictions. The car park is on the right, in front of Fantasy Island.
