It was ok, if you are at a loose end. I was upset with the size of some of the enclosures, which seemed very small for some animals. I also felt that the general upkeep of the enclosures was not great, particularly the crocodile house which I felt was quite depressing. On a plus side there is plenty of park equipment for small children. The cafe was like something from the 1980’s but the staff were friendly.

Visited here during our holiday with a 16yr old and 10yr old. It’s in nice surroundings and it’s clean and tidy. Not overly big however we still managed to spend a few hours here enjoying the animals and playing on the park.
Would highly recommend as somewhere to spend a few hours for a day.

A fun day out for all the family - a wide variety of animals including tigers, crocodiles, snow leopard, amur leopard, tree squirrels, water fowl, ibis, cranes, gibbons. A lovely walk round - some indoor houses with animals in. This would be useful on a rainy/cold day.
Various keeper talks throughout the day. The first one on the day we visited was at 11.30am. Keeprs very friendly and knowledgeable and were happy to answer the various questions that the visitors asked them.
Some walk through enclosures and some high walkways above the animals, which was different and fun.
A play area and picnic area for families to use. There was a cafe, which we didn't use, as bought our own picnic. Plenty of handwashing and toileting facilities. Gift shop was well stocked with a wide variety of items.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens and would recommend it to others.

An incredible zoo with fantastic treetop walkways fora 360⁰ view over the enclosures. Informative staff, animal feeding experiences. The crocodile & alligator enclosure was brilliant, I've never experienced anywhere like it. A brilliant day out.

Nice little zoo worth the entry fee.
Went with family and friends all enjoyed it.
Gift shop is fairly priced. Animals look well looked after.

A really wonderful day out. Our 2 grandchildren aged 2 & 6 loved it. You can get really close the animals unlike other zoos, and we we literally inches away from the tiger who came up and laid down next to us! Perfectly safe and no chance of little fingers being nibbled due to the amazing design but you were so close. All the animals looked really healthy and well cared for too.
Great play/picnic areas and a lovely layout meant everything was close at hand.
A really enjoyable visit, will definitely return.

Visited here as a family, six adults, one child (9 years old) and a toddler. Wasn't sure what to expect, had stumbled across Thrigby Hall when looking for something to do during a trip visiting family in Norwich. It was an awesome day, thoroughly enjoyable. Compact, yet never a squeeze, loads of different birds, reptiles and animals, and good amenities. Lots of highlights: the leopards, tiger, red panda, various monkeys, reptile house, birds, the list goes on. We spent five hours there, only left because we had dinner reservations back in Norwich, could have easily revisited some of the enclosures. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful few hours at Thrigby Hall. We got closer to the animals, especially the big cats, than we ever have at other zoos. The design and lay out is really well done, giving visitors multiple opportunities to view the nimals. They had a lovely selection of animals and all was very accessible. Very worth the money.

Our second time to Thrigby Hall, first time was just after covid and found it very busy, this time it was much better and more relaxed. Facilities are good, plenty of parking. Good selection of animals to see and get close too. Sadly, one of the Tigers has died since our last visit. Generally a good day out.

Yes parking is free and there was plenty of space when we went. If you book tickets on-line before you go it is also usually cheaper than paying on the day. Would also recommend finding out the feed times and talks before you go so you get there in time for them as the feeds and talks are very interesting and informative.

Can you take a buggy through the wooden walkways and viewing platforms?

Some walkways are very narrow and toddlers babies can’t b carried. The lion walkway and new 1 by birds would b fine. We hav done narrow 1’s with ours walking once they steady and it it not to busy so we didn’t cause traffic jam they won’t see much but if u hav older 1’s and just 1 adult u can make it work.

What is the car park like is it secure ? Thinking of using before we check into our caravan later this year !

I cannot really add to the comments from the other two users. If you are taking your caravan here it may be worth just going across to the kiosk and asking of you can park on the coach park part of the car park so as you can park long ways. It will depend on if they have any coach parties due but worth asking the question.
