It is just 8 kms south to Anjarle Beach and approx 5 Kms. north from Murud Beach. Village Harnai has a natural harbor and fishing is the main activity. In the fish market every evening the daily catch of fish is auctioned. Suvarndurg Fort and Goa Fort are nearby. We reached there in afternoon. Beach was not worth taking dip. Actually, much better beaches are available in the area. However, worth taking a stop. Dapoli is 15 kms.

A short drive away from Dapoli - a pretty beach with good views . It had few visitors during monsoon season but is worth a stop .

i have a house in Harnai located on the coast which overlooks the ocaen . the most beautiful pat is to see the Dolphins play in the water or to see a full moon reflection. Beautiful place though it is out of the network range, cant really get a good network coverage. So basically you want to cut of from the noise and find your self i would recommend it

Unless you're a sea food lover, avoid!
Not a beach where you'll be keen to take a dip honestly.
Fish auction in the mornings is the highlight here.
Picked up prawns on the way back home in an ice box from here
Many tourists pick up fish and hand it over to their respective homestays in Anjarle for a sumptuous meal

Harnai beach is a fishing beach wherein you can buy fresh catch of a lot of variety of fishes. Would suggest not to bath in the sea in this beach. Better go to Murud beach. Here enjoy the auction of fishes which happens twice daily.

The Harne beach is separated by a rocky line from Palande beach. The Harnai beach is famous for its "Bandar" and they call it "Harnai Bandar" as it is a fishing harbor and you can see large number of fishing boats here. The fish market is also located on the beach and you can buy the stuffs after bargaining (typically quote less than 50% of the ask price if you want to buy and increase a bit later) and get it packed with ice in a thormocol box available nearby. Most tourists come here to buy fish (evening from 4.30PM and morning after 8.00AM). You can also hire a boat from here to go to the Fort (150 per head with 8-10 people or 1000 per boat if you want to hire alone). The Fort is a ruin and located inside the sea. You need to take a ride of 15-20 minutes to reach the place. The boatman will give you 30-45 minutes to explore the Fort. It was very experience for us.

This a place where you can buy the daily catch of fish fresh of the boats and then bring it back to your place and cool it the way you want. You almost get all the possible types of fish you can buy from and even find some unheard names. I strongly suggest you to go and do this it’s fun with family.

we stayed in Harnai, typical village, with one market having few eateries and stalls. The joy of staying with limited options is altogether different.
We stayed right opposite the beach, which was very quiet, had positive vibes, where we would go and sit at midnight, hear the waves and just feel relaxed.
The beach is decently clean, but you can see a lot of plastic etc collected during the low tide zone, making it a not so good sight to walk down.
The Harnai beach port, had a few sellers being the Holi time, the fish were definitely fresh, but not very economical as you would otherwise expect. Here you can get your food made by paying for kg cost ranging from 200-300 and enjoy some local Ghar ka Khaana.

If you want to see how the fishermen sell their catch .....this is the place to be. Once in the morning and once at around 4.30pm....Its a real chain process to watch ....how the fish caught is loaded from the big boats to the small boats which bring it to the shore n further they are loaded on to the bullock carts to be brought further to the beach where they are auctioned. If you can tolerate the aroma(fish aromatherapy) its something you must see when visiting .... dhapoli. There is a fort around n one can visit the fort in one of the boats if you have time.

Went to the beach to bye the good quality fish. Place is as good as any fishing port. Not many sellers of that day. Fish were quiet costly.
