This Food and Wine tour was so much better than I could have imagined. The information provided was clear and precise re directions where to meet etc
When we were introduced to our first guide as past of the wine tour, I was very impressed. Our wonderful guide, Paula, was a family member from the property and vineyard and she was to show us around and do the wine tasting with.
The information was excellent as was the awesome venue. We were treated to an underground cave for our white wine tasting and red and dessert wine was outside in the garden.
Paula was excellent 👌 👍
Daniella was our awesome guide for the 2nd part of the tour. She was gorgeous and had a great wit about here.

I expected more in the way of a dinner. It was more like appetizers. We ate outside of a restaurant that had no view. By the description, I expected so much more. I thought the prize was high, considering we had to buy our own round trip train ride.

I'm so sorry you were disappointed in the dinner. We've modeled our Sunset Tour dinner after a traditional summer Frascatani meal, with the hot summer weather you'll often see locals out in the piazze eating meals like this with a large variety of cold local dishes, salumi, cheeses, vegetables, etc. We really want guests to have a local experience which includes a typical local meal, we definitely have enough food for it to be a meal, although it may not resemble what you'd get in a busy restaurant in the center of Rome. As for the train we aren't able to purchase tickets for guests due to the complicated process it would take, we would need full names, birth dates, and other private information for each guest to make those purchases on your behalf, and the cost of tickets is quite low at 2.10€. It made more sense for us to not include those in the price so we don't need to collect more private information from our guests.

We had an amazing time . Both the guide at the winery and the one taking us to the restaurant were amazing!! They were super knowledgeable and made it a great time!! The food and wine were delicious and everyone on the tour was so nice. Highly recommend!!

Couldn’t recommend this tour enough. A really fun day outside of the city with a very friendly welcome from the guide/ family at the vineyard. Great food and wine.

We liked that tour very much! Starting from some history of frascati wineries, grapes, olives and ending with wine degustation.
Then was an excellent mini excurcion and lunch, ofc with wine :)
Definitelly recommend one!

Couldn’t recommend this tour enough! We were met at the station by a driver, who took us straight to the winery with no issues at all. Paola was an excellent guide, who showed us around the winery and made us all feel like family, and the food and wine was delicious! We then went into Frascati town, with another excellent guide, where we met some locals and tried some baked goods. We finished the afternoon with a lovely meal in a restaurant and even more wine! The tour really was great!

Ciao! Yes! The tour begins at the FRASCATI train station at 10:15 AM (or when the 9:49 AM train gets in from Roma Termini) and includes: a guided tour around the historic centre of Frascati to try local snacks like pizza & porchetta and jug wine, transportation from the centre of Frascati to our winery, the tour of our winery with the winemaker and the tasting of our three DOCG wines with local snacks and our olive oil, transportation back to the center of Frascati and a two course lunch paired with your favorite wine from the tasting. After lunch the train returns to Roma Termini at every :36 past the hour (most people return on the 3:36 PM train.)

Can you give more detail about train travel from Rome to Old Frascati? How much is the train? Are you met at the station in Frascati? Would it be easier/better to hire a driver from Rome?

Ciao CD! Pick up from your hotel in Rome is not included in the 'Classic Half-Day Wine Tour' which costs 55 euro a person. We usually suggest people take the train to Frascati from Rome which is fast and cheap... however we can also provide transportation to and from Rome by shuttle for about 55 euro/ 7seater van each way.
