A bold decision by the city to allow one architect to design many significant buildings. It's a great whole, and its importance only increases over time. I hope that the whole is also taken care of so that it can be preserved for as long as possible.

The Aalto Center in Seinäjoki is something so uniwue in Finland. It is really the place to visit.
The Church with surroundings and the tower, Town Hall with dark blue walls, bew library and the City Theather. The theather has a restaurant with very tasty buffer lunch!

Aalto Center of Seinäjoki is the administrative and cultural center designed by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.
It comprises six buildings:
1. Church (1960)
2. City Hall (1962)
3. Library (1965)
4. Parish Center (1966)
5. Government Office Building (1968)
6. City Theater (1986)
Although the buildings are constantly maintained, there was some decay to be seen. For example, the blue tiles from the city hall wall were falling.

Aalto keskus Seinäjoella on ehdottomasti tutustumisen arvoinen, joskin keskus on tällä hetkellä osittain remontissa. Lakeuden Ristin torniin kannattaa myös piipahtaa, siellä voi hyvin todeta miten runsaasti Seinäjoella rakennetaan ja miten kaupunki kasvaa. Samalla saa tuntumaa myös aakeuteen ja Lakeuteen. Tervetuloa Seinäjoelle - täällä on paljon muutakin

Kalliita pytinkejä ylläpitää ja remontointi museoviraston kanssa sairaan kallista. Eivät mielestäni ole edes mitenkään erikoisen hienoja, vaikka enhän nyt arkkitehtuurista mitään ymmärräkkään.

Hieno kokonaisuus Aaltoa. Kannattaa käydä eri rakennuksissa sisällä. Erityisesti kirjasto Aalto-esineineen on hieno. Käynnin aikana useampi rakennus oli remontissa, tuntuu olevan ominaista Aallon taloille.

This is the must do when in Seinäjoki. Walk around the area, see the architecture and go to the top of the tower. The tower is free of charge if you want to take the stairs (276 steps) or 1 euro if you want to take the lift. Very much worth it as the views over the city are great!
