Matt, Kieran and Allie were knowledgeable and absolutely amazing. There were four to our group and three of them. A few of us were nervous snorkeling and they stayed with us to make sure we were comfortable. I would 100% recommend them. They went out of their way to make sure we saw a plethora of wildlife on our trip!

Wonderful morning on the water! We’ve been to Hawaii several times, but we’ve never had better snorkeling. Matt and Kieran put us at ease, and made it a great experience. It ended up just being my husband and myself, so it was a “private tour”. Mahalo for everything!

Went with Liquid Hawaii for manta ray snorkel, easy to book by calling. Boat and guides arrived on time at the dock. Easy to board, very knowledgeable staff providing education. Spent almost an hour at the manta ray site, saw 5 different manta rays who got within inches of us. Highly recommend.

Seeing the mantas is a must do when visiting the BI! Liquid Hawaii does a top notch job making it an unforgettable experience.
Leaving from Puako is very convenient, especially if you’re staying north of Kailua-Kona. A quick 5-10 min drive and you’re there at the ramp with plentiful parking.
You meet the crew of two and any other guests joining you (6 max) and off you go. Once you anchor, you get to enjoy a beautiful sunset while learning about the amazing mantas you’re about to see. Really gives you an appreciation for these fascinating creatures. Slip on the provided wetsuit, hop in the water, and then everyone floats at the surface with a pool noodle for the legs while hanging onto a soft top surfboard rigged with pvc pipe and a light source.
The mantas are…indescribable. Prehistoric in appearance, surprisingly graceful, they loop and swoop just underneath you. You could easily touch them (which you absolutely shouldn’t) although they sometimes brush against you. It’s mesmerizing and totally unique.
We were the only boat in the area and spent 45 minutes in the water with 5 unique mantas, countless other fish, and our group of 6. A far superior option compared to some of the large boats further south and the lack of crowds made it felt safer for the rays and a totally intimate experience.
The crew is fun, knowledgeable, and capable. They’re happy to share local tips with you about anything related to BI. It’s a small, family outfit so make sure you tip!
TLDR: don’t hesitate, book this now, you’re welcome. (Bring a GoPro or other underwater cam for some insane footage.)

Did the night snorkel with mantas. They aim to have small groups and delivered! My group was 5 I clouding me. Easy drive from Waikoloa Marriott. They had the longer snorkel times compared to others...45 min vs only 20 min. Great time and they provided videos so you need to worry about capturing your own!! Definitely select them!

We had a great trip with Matt, Kieran and Ally! We chose this trip because of the great reviews and location (away from the larger boat tours), and it did not disappoint. It felt like we had our own private section of the island to see the dolphins and snorkel with sea turtles. We also got to hold an octopus! Matt is extremely knowledgeable about the Big Island/local fish species and shared great insights along the way. There is a reason why this tour only has 5 star reviews, and we will definitely be booking with them again for our next trip.

We did the late night manta ray snorkel with Kieran and Ally and had an amazing experience. We actually originally booked this tour for the previous night but on the early evening tour Kieran only saw one manta ray so he called and asked if we had flexibility if we wanted to switch our tour to the following night. We took him up on the offer and our tour ended up seeing 4 manta rays which was so spectacular. This area is much less popular than down in Kona so we were the only boat out on the water. All of the rays came over to us and we didn’t have to compete for time with other tour boats. That was a huge plus.
They were really excellent guides that had great local suggestions. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to the big island.

Amazing trip out. 5 of us had boat to ourselves with great hosts, with great knowledge, really engaged. Saw several turtles right away, we were literally inches away as the drifted around us and came up for air on the surface. Tonnes of knowledge about the wildlife, of which there was much, and the island and the sea. Met and held young octopus, pipe fish, stone fish, tonnes of wildlife. Went to a rare and deserted black sand beach where kids played also and snacked on chips and soda and water as well as enjoying fresh pineapple. It gets chilly out there on the boat - which hits some exciting speed at times - so a jumper or hoodie is well advised. Finally met some spinner dolphins on the way back that danced around us. Really awesome, very well located for Mauna Kea or down as far as Kona. Highly recommended.

One of the best things we did in our 2 weeks in Hawaii. Friendly and informative staff. We saw multiple manta rays. Amazing to be so close in their natural environment. Would highly recommend

We managed to go quite a way south so ended up with about half an hour of travel. But that was taking in 3 snorkelling spots also.

Whale season is generally late December through Late March which the peak of the season in February. It is possible to see whales in other months however it is not as likely. If you are coming in November we encourage you to take a look at our other activities such as the Dolphin Swim and Reef Snorkel or our Manta Ray Night Snorkel. No. It is just a large rubber boat with outboard motors. It has a sunshade, but not actual enclosure.
