This is such an overhyped beach near Agonda. Better to stay in your room then going out in odd hours to this so called beach. Though the walking trail is a fun but it's not worth it. One can walk through a hidden trail to honeymoon beach as well.
NOTE-
1) 250 Mtrs before the butterfly beach entrance, a small trail goes uphill and downhill to reach honeymoon beach (another overhyped beach)
2) Ferry charge to honeymoon beach is Rs.1000+/ferry
3) Entrance charge - Rs. 100/vehicle. Although you can park your vehicle outside and go by walk (1 km)

Hidden spot in Goa. You need to do lot off-road driving to reach this spot.bit once you reach there it’s really worth.
Local boat operators will take you on tour of nearby spot like honeymoon beach .
Apart from that you can enjoy swim in clear water and enjoy .

Nice and serene. Will have to reach by boat ride. They allow you to stay here for some time (like 15 minutes or so). Not so good for swimming ... Rocky

There is nothing like butterflies.
The shape of mountain is ikely similar to a butterfly. I found it waste of time. BTW it is very long and takes a day with no great memories. Furthermore everything is costly including a water bottle.

Butterfly beach is a non-commercial, small beach surrounded by forests. It can either be approached by taking a trek through the forests, or by taking a boat from agonda beach. It is very shallow beach and one needs to be careful. However, it is very beautiful. Remember that there are no shops or shacks in the beach. Carry your food / water if you plan to spend some time.

The most secluded beach in Goa is Butterfly Beach. But it is the best place to picnic and it is worth visiting. You will see gorgeous sea creatures, a lot of beautiful butterflies, and the most amazing sunset here!

One of the nicest local un crowded beaches of south goa and for short trek lovers its a blissful way.
I went during rainy season (monsoon season) worth visiting in june-july month.
(One of the hidden gems)

₹0 by foot
Camping available near the parking inside.
Note: if you go please don’t spoil the place with garbage. (If you’re planning to cook or do family picnic please bring garbage bags so you can take them back)

We went to the Butterfly beach this year in June. The beach is located quite remotely and one can take a gypsy up to a certain point. We took the gypsy and then walked for about 5 minutes to reach the beach. The beach is good, but people need to be educated in terms of not dumping the garbage there. We could see so many cans, plastic bags, chips packets on the shore. A little maintenance can do wonders to this otherwise hidden gem of Goa. But otherwise, it is a must visit.

Are the boats available around sunrise from Palolem to butterfly beach? How long does it take to complete entire tour of dolphin sighting, monkey island, honeymoon beach and butterfly beach? Out of this total duration, how much time are we allowed to spend on honeymoon and butterfly beaches? How much do they charge nowadays?

Boats are available from Palolem to butterfly beach. Local operators make this happen. Approx 200 to 300 per head we were 9 in one boat. we left @ 8am and returned just before lunch. Overall time taken approx 5 to 6 hrs. You can spend a couple of hours easily on the beach, discuss this with your boat operator for overall time spend. Dolphin sighting is your luck may not always see it. Not sure of monkey island. trust this answers your questions

You will get one easily from Palolem Beach. Timing entirely depends upon you like how long you want to stay there. Anyway most people generally start during 10-11 AM.

Hi there, sorry for being late...Hope you have already been there by now..Still right at Tar-road's end as you just get on to the trail, that's say 2 hrs walk from the beach, there's few places to stay...Use Google Maps and choose one of your liking... Hope this helps...

This beach is very small and isolated. You can reach here by boat or by trekking. Night camp will definitely not be safe and I don't think this is permissible!

They take u in a ferry , provided u get a good ferry guy whom u feel u can trust , them you no issues.
+ couple of more boats reach there with tourists
My suggestion, join a group and go.

Of course 12 months it is opened but from may till October u can't go by baot u have to go der by trekking it's a very small beach usually no one s der around but u can go and enjoy n be careful of the water depth usually its shallow deep water near the beach so try to avoid going inside the water and do carry water n some snacks..
