Went out on the Catamaran cruise to the island, every minute of my whole days cruise was enjoyable from start to finish, staff fed us non stop all day and I always had an ice cold beverage in my hand, even when snorkeling. Hats off to the whole crew, you guys are great, the cerviche was delicious and the home made guacamole.

Outstanding trip to beach, great staff, amazing team work kept group safe and satisfied! Beach, whale watching, snorkling, boogie board, water slide, photos and food!!! Top off your trip to Mexican coast.

When local repairs seemed to last only a few days I finally took my bike to Corey and was very happy with the service. That meant loading it in a truck to take it out of town so I had the confidence before I went based on other feedback.

About 60 km. N of Puerto Vallarta on Hwy 200, sits the little fishing village of Lo de Marcos. In little Lo de Marcos sits COCO LOCO, a very BIG gem of a resource for sportsmen vacationing along Mex Hwy. 200 from Bucerias to Compostela. Opened only a few months ago, COCO LOCO stocks everything you ever thought of for surf fishing, as well as an excellent selection of world-famous Benotto bicycles, Coleman camping equipment, delightful locally made kites, and assorted general sports equipment.
I met the owners, Corey and Lisa Friesen, a couple of Canadian entrepreneurs who now live in Lo de Marcos. Their shop certainly seems to be a welcome alternative for sportsmen in the area, whose nearest supplies hitherto were an hour away in Puerto Vallarta. The Friesens assure me that their prices meet or beat the big box outlets in the city
COCO LOCO stocks a good selection of Penn, Diawa, and Schimano rods and reels in a range of sizes, as well as Rapala, Bomber, and Williamson lures. You’ll also find the basics—hooks, weights, line, etc.—and if you need advice on how anything works, Corey will help out. He also repairs rods and reels.

Corey and Lisa are avid surf fishermen. They’ve become very familiar with local waters and the “spots where the fish live”. They enjoy sharing their expertise, and are pleased to answer your fishy questions. If an individual or group wants more focused instruction, COCO LOCO will put together customized fishing lessons/demonstrations in the Lo de Marcos surf. I spoke with a couple who had taken a lesson, and they said it was a great experience well worth the modest fee.
COCO LOCO also features high-quality Italian Benotto bicycles, well-known in Europe. Over the last 80 years, Benottos have won 11 world titles. These superb bikes have been made in Mexico for 50 years now, so upgrades, parts, and accessories are readily available. Benottos are surprisingly inexpensive, and COCO LOCO stocks large, medium, and children’s sizes, as well as tricycles. In addition to bike sales at the Shop, COCO LOCO will handle your special orders for repairs large and small. And you can RENT bicycles by the hour, day, or week.
I very much enjoyed discovering this sports specialty shop, and if you’re a sportsman visiting Riviera Nayarit, N. of Puerto Vallarta, you’ll be happy you dropped in as well!
