Rainy season, heavy waterfall from mountain, green trees and mountain peaks.Add on the boat ride. Simply wow!!!

It's one of the exotic tourist attractions of Rangamati. If you are traveling with family/group,rent a boat(fare is 1200-1500 in Bangladesh currency) & start moving along the beautiful Kaptai lake towards the Shuvolong water fall.The total trip may take 5-6 hours.On the way to the water fall,visit one of the "island restaurants"( Chang pang,Gorba/Jum ghor,Peda ting ting etc.) & place your lunch order,so that you can get ready one on return journey.You like the boast journey,it's fantastic. Enjoy the nature.

Shuvolong waterfalls have two different points nearby. I recommend to visit both of them. Please don’t try to go directly inside the waterfall as the water pressure is very high and you may not resist. If you climb the top of it, you shouldn’t do inside the flowing water canal. The power of waterfall is very strong and you may be floated and fall down from the top and died (or severely injured).
Please observe this place from few meters far from the water falling area. You can take bath inside the waterfall but please judge the pace of water and surface depth.

Shuvolong waterfalls is most wonderful tourist attraction, located at Rangamati District of Bangladesh. We start our journey from Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh. We have ride the train turna nishita from kamalapur railway station at 11.30 PM. We have reached in Chattagram railway station about 6.30 am next day. We hired a Microbus from Chattagram. After refreshment we arrived in microbus to Rangamati town. About 9.30 am we reached in Rangamati and We hired a motor boat to enjoy shuvolong waterfalls.There are two waterfalls in shuvolong locally named Choto Jhorna (Small Waterfalls) and Boro Jhorna (Big waterfalls) respectively. About 1.5 to 2.0 hour needed to reach waterfalls from Rangamati.

We hired boat from Hanging Bridge at Rangamati. First of all the boat is very slow, it takes almost 2 hours to reach Shuvolong Waterfall. We were group of 12 and reserved a boat for ourselves. We purchased the package with BDT 3000 for full day boat tour. They said they'll take to 9 location but ended up going only in 3. The boat is not safe at all. We got caught up in the storm while coming back to Hanging Bridge. All of us got wet including the kids. Due to heavy wind and wavy water, it almost felt like the boat will flip. There were barely any life jackets available. Our boat was operated by a teenager around the age of 14-16. No doubt, the place the is beautiful but not properly managed. The water is very dirty as well.

This is a waterfall located in Rangamati. You will need to hire a boat to reach the waterfall. It will take nearly 1 hour to go there. View is excellent but waterfall is alive only on rainy season.

Nell’area di Shuvolong sul lago ci sono alcune cascate che scendono dalle colline. la più grande dicono cada da un centinaio di metri (300 piedi). Il luogo si raggiunge durante una gita in barca sul lago e non ci sono altre vie d’accesso. Non aspettatevi granché nella stagione asciutta mentre col monsone la cascata è bella ma il clima meno. Comunque un’occasione per godersi il paesaggio.

The way to go Shuvolong Waterfall by boat is really nice. The journey is better than the beauty of waterfalls. When we went there, we did not see heavy water in Shuvolong waterfall. On the way you will see a good restaurant named Chang Pang just beside the lake, where you can get tribal food. What we did... we ordered our food for lunch on our way to Shuvolong and took the food while returning from Shuvolong. You have to hire a boat from ferry ghat/Parjatan resort ghat for Shuvolong. It will take about 2 hours to reach waterfall area.

It's a nice waterfall in Kaptai Lake near Shuvolong Bazar. Rainy season is the best time to see the waterfall.

One can reach Shuvolong only by boat from Rangamati. It is really a beautiful waterfall. The view is astonishing, particularly in rainy season.
