The coffee vending machine is out of order. It has been out of order for weeks - at least two weeks. This is the only coffee vending machine in this library.

I was looking for information about a member of the legal profession, and the helpful staff referred me to suitable reference printed materials. This library has maintained a better reference service than many that I know, and should be commended.

This is a great asset for the people of Stoke on Trent generally. Located with easy access next to the Potteries museum and adjacent to good car parking.
It houses the Stoke on Trent archives staffed by very friendly and helpful men and women.
Booking is always helpful.

To think that at the height of the second world war when St Petersburg (or rather Leningrad as it was known) was under siege by the Nazis the city's library was open 24 hours a day, lit by candlelight and became hub of stoicism and resistance in the face of the looming threat of the Third Reich.
Libraries are places of enlightenment with the potential to enrich and empower our lives in ways that eclipse even our own imaginations. We're so lucky to have this wonderful and underappreciated building in the centre of our city. And it'll be a tragedy when some bean counter somewhere knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing decides its closure is a cost worth saving. Savour it while we have it and fight to preserve it for the next generation. Thanks for all the wonderful and helpful staff here. Lovely place.

I can only speak of the archive department where I used the library's excellent records to trace my family history. The staff are most excellent and helpful wether you are a novice or keen genealogist and can point you in the right direction.

I attend here with my daughter and the play group is fantastic. Downstairs in the library is a corner where your kids can read. It’s fantastic and all free so no one could possibly complain love it there the staff are so lovely :)

The computer system in this library is dysfunctional. You can print anything from the computers here: not gif, not a adobe acrobat (.pdf) file. You can't even print an email from internet explorer on this library's computer system.

The library has computers that are free to use with internet etc on them. Books , games , DVDs , CD s ettc to lend. Printing is at a responable rate . They offer courses for unemployed and do things for preschoolers regularly and stuff for kids in general at weekends and holidays. They were selling old stock when I visited last. I booked an hour in the new sensory room which is free . It was amazing . I have Asperges and loved it . It's ideal for little ones and for special needs . It could be improved by having less red as Autistic people don't like the colour and having things to smell; comfy chairs , heat mat and cooling mat , being able to choose own music ; bubble tube , glitter hand wand things , musical instruments , rain maker with seeds or beads in , samples of different materials ,soft toys and maybe even some fruit for a donation . This is a sensory room after all so why focus on 3 senses not 5 ? I would happily pay to use . The space just isn't used well enough .

This is much much better than most libraries the record section is excellent and comprehensive from what I saw the lending section was better than most, if you are ever here look at the fossils on the stair well
