Cementerio de la CWGC de los que se podria considerar de un tamaño tanto por sus soldados aqui enterrados como por el espacio que ocupa de grande. Contiene mas de dos mil quinientas tumbas de la Gran Guerra de las cuales mas de la mitad estan sin identificar.
Con una fachada imponente de ladrillo rojo con dos escaleras a cada lado y la Piedra de Recuerdo justo en medio de estas que dan acceso al cementerio donde al fondo de este se situa la Cruz de Sacrificio en una pequeña construccion que aun la realza mas.
Sin conocer el porque, encontramos diferentes lapidas de marineros o relacionadas con la marina, estando lejos de la costa.
Una muy buena visita a añadir a todo y mucho que hay muy cerca de aqui.

There are so many cemeteries that it just makes you realise the scale and devastation of this war. A beautiful resting place

A fantastically neat and impressively cared for cemetery and yet the neatness of the place seems to have an inverse correlation to the amount of sadness felt when entering such.
As ever many of the graves are unnamed - so sad and yet a profound lesson to be heeded by all.

A large British Cemetery which is found in the Ancre valley and during the Battle it was No Mans Land. Unusual as it has many Royal Naval Division Burials

For the first time in our travels we went looking for a specific person and we found him here. Very emotive. Beautifully kept cemetery, but wouldn't expect anything else.

Over 2,500 graves are found here. Quite a few belong to members of the Navy Division. Over 1,300 graves belong to the Unknowns.

Кладбище в Анкре интересно тем, что на нем похоронены много морпехов и моряков.
Что дало повод еще глубже залезть в историю и выяснить, откуда моряки взялись в сухопутном сражении.
Очень строгое и красивое место.

This place like all the other sites tells a big story about the first world war. Very moving place and not hard to find from the Somme Ulster Tower
