The steps were terrifying. There were huge gaps that someone my size can fall right through. If you're a thrill seeker who wouldn't mind this vacation being your last you'll have a great time.

Breathtaking views! You will need to be moderately fit to go to this spot , there is a lot of steep steps and hiking back up will test your fitness - I recommend you go early like 8am before the sun starts to become a problem & to avoid the tourist crowds .
Also it's not actually a waterfall - it's a stream from a pipe but visit this place for the amazing views , it's worth the hike!
And lastly - Take your own sarong with , you are not allowed in without a sarong (and make sure it's not see through or too short) otherwise you will have to rent one at the entrance!

When you are afraid of heights, don’t do it. For the 700 steps down you need to be in very good condition. Another struggle is that you need to wear a warong, that doesn’t help with the steep stairs. Besides that the waterfall itself is disappointing. Not close to the waterfalls in Bali. It even looks like artificial. For me not worth the exercise and I do not recommend to go here.

Dapat menikmati pemandangan alam dari peguyangan waterfall, bukan hanya itu habis leleh mendaki anak tangga kita dapat makan siang di suatu tempat namanya manta point' bar&resto pemiliknya juga ramah bukan hanya kita di kasi buah yaitu dari kebun sendiri nama pepaya, bukan hanya itu tetapi kita juga di kasi singkong rebus enak banget

What an awesome surprise!
This is called peguyangan waterfalls but is also a temple that has about 700 stairs and blue stairs down to the waterfalls and temple. If you walk past the temple you will discover hidden natural infinity pools -
what a location-
there were only a few other people there
A must see in Nusa Penida. You can see a mini video I made on my YouTube channel

I scootered there, it was a dry day. The main roads were good but more broken as you get closer.
Bring your sarong this is a temple and it’s a must.

800 of the steepest steps I've ever descended, the hike to the falls is amazing. Some of the best views on the island for sure. The falls are small and not much to look at, I would say this is one of the places you go to for the view, not the attraction itself. Now the climb back up isn't for the faint of heart. As someone who works out regularly and runs obstacle races, I was pretty winded by the time I got back to the top. The time to get down was a good 20 mins, with a few stops for a breather
There is several shrines and a few falls at the bottom, make sure you walk all the way to the back of the falls for a quick swim in the pools. The water is warm, the windy blows pretty good and rocks can be slippery so be very mindful of where you step. All around, a great first stop on my island tour and worth the trek for some great pics. We got there around 10 am and only ran into about 10 people during our hour and a half stay.

The hike is pretty steep but there are iron stairs which in my opinion are equally dangerous as there are chances to slip . But if you start your trek slowly, you will realize it's quite doable for average person. Much easier than other waterfall and Kelingking. Once you reach der, there is small waterfall, a natural pool and stretch of beach . Nothing great , but it depends on your liking. Needless to say this place is very less crowded.

Der Weg ist beschwerlich und nervig(schlechte Straße)
Mit dem Roller war es zwar einfach aber trotzdem sehr holprig... Der Abstieg ist einfach, aber dafür der Aufstieg um so schwerer...
Unten am Wasserfall ist eine Heilige Quelle und einige Einheimische beten dort... Es kann in kleinen Auffangbecken gebadet werden, ist aber müßig da runter zu kommen.
Lohnt sich der Ausflug? Würde eher sagen nein... hat nichts mit einem Wasserfall zu tun.

While the views on the way down are breath taking, everything else about this experience was dangerous and under whelming. It is a very steep walk down to the "waterfall", which I will come back to. The steps on the way down are steep and narrow, there are large gaps between each step and all you can see is the waves and rocks beneath you, it is very easy to miss a step and fall to your death, no exaggeration here. There are parts where the stairs have broken off and just been left, and you have to climb around them or over them, and there are no side railings for some areas of the steps, and there is 2 way traffic of people coming up and down which makes it worse. Once you finally make it to the bottom, the steps change to wooden rusty loose ones, which is just as dangerous as the whole journey down. And then you eventually come to the "waterfall", it is just a trickle of water and not in any way worth the hike down. I would not recommend this for children, anyone scared of heights or not physically fit.

Hi, I would like to ask what sarong is necessary for? Is it a must to have it on whole way? Or does it require to tourists get involved in their rituals?

Yo have to wear sarong when you enter the temple at the bottom, but on the steps it is not neccesary. But if you go to bathing area you have to pass the temple anyway
