This 72 meter high waterfall is well known to locals.
As a result, it is very popular on sunny days in summer and I advise you to go instead in the afternoon, especially since the heat is sometimes stifling on the course.
At Check-out a shaded parking lot welcomes you and we announce you a descent of 20 minutes somewhat optimistic!
It is indeed trapping in places with sometimes slippery pebbles and therefore it is imperative to be well put on.
At the finish, it is difficult to go to the foot of the waterfall without setting foot in the water.
Swimming in rather cool water is possible.
The magnificent spectacle on arrival however deserves these few drawbacks and you can return to continue on another path along the river.
The ascent is rather "cardio", especially on the first part, with very uneven steps.
Provide water or even food for a picnic.. A food truck is sometimes present in front of the Moulin de la Pipe Hostel (now closed) in the immediate vicinity.
On your way back, I recommend you to visit the spectacular Gorges de l'Omblèze on the right side by taking the road again and which I also comment on.

Amazing scenery and good, but a little exhausting hiking.
We ended the trip by bathing in the most beautiful waterfall.

A beautiful place to visit. The walk is a bit long to get there but it is worth doing and discovering. A beautiful waterfall at the finish will reward all your efforts

Magnificent place, exotic, crystal clear water, you think you are completely elsewhere.
It's a shame that my not-so-sporty wife has read comments that discourage us about accessibility, when only the time to access it changes, especially the ascent, but no major difficulties. Don't hesitate to go there

If you are afraid of driving in the mountains, don't go.
Once you have arrived, walk down for 20 minutes. Best with sturdy shoes.
Arrived downstairs: an oasis. Beautiful, quiet, fresh, ... Glad I can say that I have been there. Water was fresh, but it was definitely worth taking a dip. A swim was for the brave. A swimsuit is certainly allowed, but some did it in a monokini.
The journey up: tough! Not recommended in 40 degrees.
Are you in the area: Do it.

Tip: there is 1 way down. At the end you come to a T-point. The waterfall is to the right.

The visit is worth the detour. Once you arrive, the spectacle is absolutely beautiful.
The water is very cold but a few brave people don't hesitate to cool off 😉
The way back is rough but I recommend the visit 🙂

Magnificent place 45 minutes from Crest, we arrived at the parking lot at 9:45 a.m., ideally we went down alone, were able to enjoy the wonderful landscape at 4, 20 minutes after a hundred people arrived. The timing was ideal. You have to be able to go there in sneakers, flip-flops should be avoided, it's quite steep. Then a nice little discovery going down the pipe mill.

My kids didn't feel like it, but they loved it! Unfortunately, we were not sufficiently prepared, because you need water shoes to get to the waterfall. Or at least shoes that can get wet and possibly swimwear. Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves. Walk down for 25 minutes before you reach the waterfall. Back up is a good workout.

A must-visit.
Be careful, it is better to go there with good shoes and bring water shoes to access the waterfall.
The ascent is less easy than the descent but it is truly magnificent, I recommend 100%

Reeds vaker bij deze waterval geweest, echt een aanrader. Twee weken geleden wilde ik weer een bezoek brengen echter bleek deze niet toegankelijk. Er wordt onderhoud gepleegd tot 30 juni 2023.

Il y a trente ans, je me suis perdu dans les Alpes pendant que je tentais de faire une randonée de Genêve à Lyon. Je suis descendu de la montagne en suivant une petite rivière qui par conséquent grandit au fur et à mesure que l'altitude baissa. Or, à un certain moment, je me suis retrouvé tout en haut d'une cascade d'une centaine de metres, avec aucune possibilité de continuer à suivre la rivière. J'ai fait un peu d'exploration et j'ai trouvé un chemin qui était tout à fait correcte, géniale même, avec une sorte de tunnel qu'on avait creusé dans la montagne pour pouvoir accéder à la tête de la cascade.
J'étais un peu l'imbécile, car après je ne l'ai pas noté sur ma carte, ni dans mon journal.
Et j'aimerais retrouver cette cascade. Pensez-vous que cela est la même? Ce chemin qui montait en haut, était vraiment très remarquable.

Bonjour pour moi je dirais non car la descente se fait sur des chemins de terre et je ne pense pas qu’un fauteuil roulant pourrait passer et la remontée serait très difficile. Maintenant quand je ferai un commentaire j’essaierai de marquer si c’ est Possible ou pas pour les fauteuils roulants bonne journée

Bonjour. Il n’y a pas de pont mais un sentier facile à suivre et moi même avec mon vertige je n’ai pas eu de souci ! Il n’y a d´ailleurs pas de précipice, c’est une balade assez sportive dans les montagnes

Pas de problème, le chemin est un peu caillouteux et pentu mais "carrossable " pour les "animaux " à 2 et 4 pattes.
