So much fun. Cover way more ground that walking and you dont get tired. If going in winter you must have gloves, scarf and coat. Easy to learn as I'd never been on a segway before.

1 hour tour was an absolute blast! Keira was such a fantastic guide! She gave us fun facts about Canberra and took fabulous photos for us. A must do on your visit to Canberra. Thanks guys!!

Having been on a segway overseas, was interested how the one hour tour would pan out. We arrived in early and enjoyed the view of the lake whilst we awaited for our appointed time. They give you a video on how to ride the segway and how to keep safe.
Our guide was Keira, a lovely young girl, very patient with those that were struggling with how to 'drive' the segway. Did a quick 1/2 hour tour to the old rose garden and then back to base and continued the next half hour around the lake over both bridges. The views were stunning and Keira stopped to allow us to take photos. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. I would whole heartedly recommend this company - do the hour tour it is well worth it. I think had I done the half our tour I would have been dissapointed.

Keira was a great guide. The segways were very secure and so much fun. Very pretty around the lake and lots of interesting facts.

Great customer service and a lot of fun. Di is very professional and knows her stuff. I recommend the 30 minute ride. The segway is very intuitive and easy to operate. A great way to have a quick look around the area.

We did our tour on arrival in Canberra. It was such a fun way to get our bearings on the town. They are very safety conscious and make sure everyone is comfortable with the Segway before setting off. Keira was our guide for the first section and she stopped and gave us information at different points and was happy to take photos for us.
It’s such a lovely area to be gliding around, all around the lake. Highly recommend to anyone!

As our first time as Canberra tourists we booked @$65 each x 3, we expected a informative tour. We were behind all the way and when we caught up to the guide took off, we didn't hear ANYTHING and got rolling of the eyes. Certainly not for people who don't like to go fast, great for very adventurous confident people.

We have always wanted to ride on a Segway and we are very glad our first time was in Canberra around the beautiful lake. We had a lovely tour with our guide stopping along the way to give us some commentary.
It is a very odd sensation when you first start riding one and it doesn’t feel at all safe or natural but it is 🤣

My wife and I did the one hour tour with Keira, which on a Segway is always fun.
A great way to travel around the edge of the lake and cover a lot of ground effortlessly and see more than we would if we had walked.
Definitely recommend doing this.

We took the one hour tour with Seg Glide Ride and had a fantastic time. We've never ridden a Segway before, and make no mistake, it's not completely easy to pick up, but it was tremendous fun. Our 16 year old son really loved it. From our point of view, I think we spent more time concentrating on not running over or into anyone, and not driving it into Lake Burley Griffin, so I would not say we saw a huge amount of Canberra scenery until the times when we stopped for rests and photos. I went over the bridge twice and didn't notice the crazy looking museum on the other side of the lake at all as I was focused on the pavement and pedestrians ahead. It was extra busy because of the Floriade crowds apparently. I enjoyed going around the quieter area near Old Parliament House and our guide was happy to answer any questions about any of the buildings and sights. This was a really fun way to see Canberra city so don't think you can't do it, we're aged 49 and 52 and picked it up relatively easily. If I can, you can.

Is the hire of a segway available for use for more than one person for that duration of time or it's strictly limited to one person for one segway for each booking?

Sorry for late reply, I've been away and just saw your question. I think it's strictly one segway per person per booking as you are taken on a guided tour.

We want to try for Segway, I see that shoes are mandatory for this ride?? Do you provide shoes? Or it's okay to ride it with sandles as I have not wore shoes today. Also you have any dress code for women /any dress is fine?

Any comfortable flat shoes including sandals would be appropriate for this activity. Any dress would be okay too, although I'd avoid any type of lightweight skirt or dress. You do travel across a wide bridge during the ride & it can get quite windy. You wouldn't want your dress to blow up & cause an accident to happen! Lol

Just wondering about age restrictions, we are visiting in July and have our 9 year old granddaughter travelling with us - will she be able to do the hour trip on the segwa.

I wonder if a 9 yo would be able to handle it. Those machines are a little less forgiving than, say, a bike.

There is a minimum, but I'm not sure if it is height or age based, but no maximum age, as long as you can stand up and have balance. They do a training session with you before heading out on tour. Jump on their website and have a look to see if this is something for you. Loads of fun.
