I think Susan’s review is spot on. We drove from Jindabyne & unfortunately arrived with only enough time to either swim or explore the self guided cave, so we chose the pool as it was a warm day.

What an amazing place off the beaten track. The thermal pool and caves are about a 6km one way dirt road off the highway. A really beautiful place. A very steep but short walk down to the thermal pool. Feels like in the middle of nowhere. Small picnic area and facilities for those swimming and beautiful river setting with bushwalking trails.
