Booked a trip with Pterodactyl Helicopters around Sydney Harbour with son (12) & daughter (18) and had a fantastic tour. Michael White piloted and was excellent - giving the pre-flight briefing, commentary during the flight and de-brief afterwards. Flight was 30 mins excluding briefings. Would highly recommend this tour!

I booked this flight with my sister and cousin to celebrate my birthday.
We had amazing experienced.Our pilot Michael was very welcoming and knowledgeable.The flight was very smooth and we had nice weather.
It is the best way to see Sydney's view from above.
Michael was generous.He gave us the usb with our photos during the flight for free as my birthday present.
I highly recommend this flight to see the views of Sydney.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!
I took my partner for his surprise birthday and he had an amazing time as did i.
Michael was our very friendly and accomodating pilot. He definitely made our experience very enjoyable.
We took the 40min scenic tour and it was a beautiful day. Managed to see a couple dolphins swimming as well!
It's worth taking your go pro if you have one, otherwise, you can use there's and opt to pay for the images which they put on a on a USB stick. We had about 500 images!
Overall, we had a fantastic experience.

We travelled with Mick in late June 2019. Flight was a little delayed due to fog in the early morning, but that's something totally expected where I come from! But that said, Mick sent us an email pretty early in the day advising of the delay and our new flight time.
We arrived a little early for our flight and Mick was just finishing with the previous flight, but still welcomed us into his office to wait for a few minutes. When ready, Mike sat us down talked through the flight, the safety requirements, and we were ready to go.
My wife if a nervous flyer, and Mick was extra smooth to make sure she didn't feel concerned. He explained that around the airport with wind going between the buildings that it might be a little bumpy, but once up and away we'd be fine. He was totally right.
The flight..... AMAZING.
We headed over towards Parramatta, then followed the river right down to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and flew over the south pylon. You can wave to the people climbing the bridge - we saw three groups climbing. Out of the harbour, and up the coast saw some spectacular scenery that you just don't normally see.
Back into the harbour, over the opera house and bridge again and then back to the airport via Olympic park.
As people who've been to Sydney many many time (my wife grew up there), we loved the trip. It was very smooth, Mick was quite informative and the views are something we won't forget in a long time. Mick even has a Go-Pro camera set up in the front of the chopper!
I'd highly recommend this to anyone. This was a birthday present for my wife (Mick even wished her a happy birthday!) and I'll be in the good books for some time (and I loved it too!).

All the process to book the Helicopter ride was easy and smooth.
Michael is an experienced professional that loves what he does and makes sure that the passengers are safe and enjoy the experience.
The 40 min option is awesome because you get to see city views, harbour bridge and opera house plus the beaches. Time flies and a shorter tour would be over too quickly.
We highly recommend to book this tour, especially in a sunny day, it’s a unique and very special experience.

It wasn't looking good with the weather for our scheduled flight time with a once in 30 year fog but Michael was able to accomodate us the following day for an absolutely fantastic day both weather and flight. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the flight and will recommend Pterodactyl Helicopters anytime of the day. Michael was extremely professional, friendly and outgoing making this the enjoyable flight that it was. Great views of Sydney and surrounds with some commentary thrown in for good measure. Brilliant service.

3 of us took the 40 minute tour that leaves from Bankstown Airport near Liverpool, Sydney.
We got to see over the Olympic Park, up the river, over the bridge, out the heads and over Manly before heading home.
The helicopter is small, but ideal in that everyone gets a window seat.
The day we picked was quite windy, so if you're trying to fit it into your itinerary, choose a day that is calm even if slightly cloudy over a windy day. Michael can tell you the weather conditions each morning.
Also, if you really want to see Bondi Beach, you'll need to take the 1 hour version and check with Michael on the morning, as some times due to the wind direction, the helicopters can't fly there due to aeroplanes going into and out of Sydney airport.
Michael is such a gentlemen and can point out all the land marks along the way. He clearly has years of experience and we felt safe.
We got a little safety briefing before starting and a refreshing bottle of water too.

While looking for helicopter tours, I chose this because of the cost as well as good reviews (even though less reviews), and am glad I did ! My family with a young child did the tour. The experience was great right from the beginning with great communication from Michael all the way, with prompt and personal responses. High winds required a reschedule but Michael was great to accomodate all requests. The flight was great. Bankstown worked well, good space for parking and conveniently located off the highway. It was a nice 4 seater helicopter with everyone getting a window seat. Micheal explained everything about the flight first, and then took off explaining all the landmarks and a bit about their history while everyone clicked away photos and videos. The flight wasn’t rushed at all and family came back beaming ear to ear with smiles, happy about the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good tour.

I booked the flight for my dad's Christmas present with my sister and the three of us all enjoyed it immensely. Our pilot was Michael and he was a fun and friendly tour guide who handled the helicopter with skill and safety. Would highly recommend it for locals and tourists alike.
