5 of us visiting Sydney just happened to come by the Porterhouse so we decided to give it a try. We certainly made the right decision. Helpful staff, great athmosphere, quality food and most of all good value. If you like fish, try the seafood platter, the steaks are sumptious. A must visit. Returning today for our evening meal. You cant beat the Irish .

Always make point of stopping into the local Irish pub on our travels. Stopped in mid day so it was quiet, the bartender was friendly, knew we were "Yankees" as soon as we ordered. Nice selection of beer and the food was wonderful. If we had more time would have went back again.

Really Irish bar in Sydney. Good service and food card. Good range of beers. Can seat outside . Really nice staff. I will be back.

We found this Pub two years ago and have visited many times every time we go to Sydney. You get a genuine pint of real Guiness. We also enjoy the food here, the Guiness pie is a must. It's a friendly lively place and real gritty ordinary not plastic and minimal clinical like modern pubs of today. one caution though avoid the porter house special burger it's not meat but some terrible pate that cost me a night and morning in the bathroom. Be better if it was a proper burger guys ! Everything else on the menu we have tried and it is exceptional quality and value.

This is a nice Irish pub and, from the accents around us, popular with the Irish around here. It is also dog friendly judging by the bowl of doggie biccies (I am sure it was not food that anyone left!) and water bowl and the friendly dogs around the place. The Guinness tasted better than we get in UK but never as wonderful as that in Ireland. But who cares? It was pleasant and welcoming as you expect from the Irish.

This cosy, traditional pub is a great place to eat delicious and reasonably priced home made food. Relaxed, friendly staff serving excellent Guinness. A warm and welcoming haven to meet up with friends!

Really enjoyed fish & chips & 4 in 1 here! It is definitely worth a visit for any irish missing a decent homely meal with a decent curry sauce!

Of all the eateries I’ve entered since visiting Sydney, this by far had the best food. Ordered a burger and fries that was absolutely fresh and delicious! My daughter ordered a chicken parmigiana which too was surprisingly well done for an Irish Pub. Service was great with friendly bartenders and wait staff. Good vibe, families with little ones enjoying themselves and grandpas having drinks with their mates. Made for a relaxing experience. Try it!
