Don’t expect to much. Nothing special. Prices not so much lower then in any other malls. There are no good restaurants at all. Don’t visit on weekends it’s too crowded.

Nice place to buy the outlets things. But hard to find grab when we need to return. very few grab. need to wait for 30mins before we can get a grab. its around 5pm on friday.

This Design Village Outlet mall although over the bridge on the mainland. It is in my view worth the trip. Branded clothes, shoes, and perfume are the place to buy before going to the big malls. This place you would need 4-5 hours opens at 11 am by the way. Can take a Grab Taxi out there for 50 or 60 RM. I would highly recommend this place for shopping before hitting the major malls.

It’s my 1st time to Penang & Design Village is very far away from Georgetown. We grab there & the vehicle goes by the 2nd Penang bridge which is an added experience. There are many shops with good discount. However I’m not into Sports wear nor local design clothings so I didn’t really buy anything apart from a Guess tee which is very cheap. I wanted to get a coach bag but it just doesn’t happen to be my liking. I’m expecting Gucci. But there is no Gucci shop unlike the JB premium outlet & Genting Premium outlet. If you are happen to be around Design Village, suggest having seafood dinner. There are a few seafood restaurants nearby Design Village. Accessible via Grab. Seafood is cheap too. Pictures below is about the 2nd Penang Bridge & the yummy seafood we had.

Kfc design village so dirty,first time seeing flies every where. Only one staff is taking order,the rest of the staff missing. Long Q, to order.
Washing hand place no words to say, very very dirty. On top most of meals finish at 1.55 pm.

The outlet is ok. If you expect the designers brand like JPO or GPO, advise not to pay a visit here. They have a lot of parking including the multi-storey carpark. But what i upset the most if their toilet. The 2 toilets that we went, the sink like they never brushed, toilet not being flushed after used (yes, you read it right, not flush!), used toilet paper been throwed on the floor, the dustbin full and not been cleared, wet and smelly toilet. The most dirtiest outlet ever!

This is good idea to have this kind of outlet mall in Penang. Not full opening as many shop still not open as per September 2020. Love the concept and architecture of the building. Look like DDP in Korea.

Banyak pilihan utk keperluan anak2 dan sekeluarga. Dari pakaian hingga pelbagaibl keperluan harian. Parking yang agak luas. Walaupun dlm fasa covid, management amat menitikberatkan kepatuhan kepada SOP yg ditetapkan kerajaan.
Food court agak mahal, agak tidak berbaloi dgn harga dan juga tak byk pilihan makanan. Harap dpt diperbaiki. Lagi berbaloi jika makan di KFC, berhampiran food court.

A Outlet Mall that are full of branded shop such as Bata, Adidas, Sketchers, Bonia, Timberland, Coach...When I want to find more a more high quality product that suits me, I will come here. There are various types of choice you can choose here. So, take your time and have a look on every products. If feel sleep and exhausted, justtake a rest here and some F&B stall is locating here also.

Hi Mr Pariyanto H, the free shuttle bus has no working. If you want to go design village, from komtar you get bus to quensbay mall & from quensbay mall u can get grab/MUla to Design Village. It is more cheaper. It is very difficult to find public transportation to & from DEsign Village because it very far from town. design Village is Near IKEA & across Penang second bridge ( if go by Car grab/ Mula u get charge the highway penang second bridge : RM 9 ). Hope the information is usefull for you

My family and I are planning to visit the Design Village Outlet Mall this weekend on our trip to Penang. As we would be staying in Georgetown, could I kindly check if there is a free shuttle bus service from Georgetown to the outlet mall? If so, where would the shuttle bus be doing pickups and drop offs?
If no, is there an estimated price on how much taking a Grab would cost?

We visited in August. The shuttle had ceased. From memory it was about $25 AU by grab from Batu Ferringhi. You would only be about $15 -$20 from Georgetown.
