I've endured CityCycle for a few years and even put up with the over or under availability as well as the arduous sign up process to link my Go Card... Around April of 2019 I stopped using CityCycle and moved to Lime scooters for my short travel requirements around Brisbane and found the web features & experience way better than expected. After i stopped using CityCycle I emailed customer support via there feedback (1990's) website to cancel my auto billing and DE-link my Go Card. I recall getting a auto response that suggested this would be actioned however silly me i didn't keep the email. Last month i was doing a review of my Credit Card auto payments and found the $5 per month hadn't stopped. It wasn't a big amount and only adds up to $55.
I email the CityCycle support and I was shocked at the fast and details response this morning.

I must agree - If i didn't get a confirmation it’s my fault. But I will say that I feel that wasn't the right thing to do and that for $50 I wouldn’t be on here writing a negative review or telling any of my visiting tourist friends to steer clear and get a scooter because it just too much effort for an endorsement covered, 3 gear, no bell, flat tire, broken basket push bike.

It takes time to get through the registration process, but once this is complete, citycycle is excellent. Bikes can be rented from and returned to a huge number of locations in this bike friendly city. Cycle paths are everywhere in the best and most scenic locations, and renting a bike from citycycle is extremely cheap.

Used Brisbane citycycle & a great way to get around. Convenient regular stops all around well known tourist areas. Clean reliable working bikes, simple to use & cheap.

As a group of 3, we decided to explore the Brisbane River using City Cycles. Thankfully, we had done some research the night before to understand how it works and download an App to help search out the Bike Parking Stations.
The positives are that the bikes are easy to ride.
The negatives include:
- often, no bike helmets available with the Bikes;
- a 30 minute limit after which you start getting charged is restrictive (an hour would be better)
- understanding all the rules (if you are a tourist and not done your research).
On the whole a good experience however it needs to be made simpler.

Sin dudas una opción super recomendable la de alquilar estas bicicletas. Te permiten, como en muchas ciudades, utilizar estas bicis por 24 horas por la módica suma de 2 dólares australianos.
Eso sí, el uso no debe extenderse por más de 30 minutos si no quieres que te cobren más. Es decir, al retirar una bici, debés devolverla en alguna estación antes de los 30 minutos. Al ser devuelta, solamente tenés que esperar un par de minutos para volver a sacarla y volvés a tener esos 30 minutos. Así 24 horas por solamente 2 AUD. Hay muchas estaciones, así que realmente es una opción más que útil para conocer a fondo esta hermosa ciudad.

We were happy to use these fantastic bikes to cruise through Brisbane. We never had any issues returning them within the half hour and often went for an explore between rides. Highly recommended.

The Bikes are really well maintained and an enjoyable ride. The area covered, while limited to about 5km from the city centre, is a thoroughly delightful environment with excellent bike paths. There are hundreds of stations (or so it seems) and if you plan your travel, you can ride or 24 hours for $2 (you need to check in each 30 minutes before being charged extra)

Great cheap, environmentally friendly fun way to travel around Brisbane. Unfortunately their web based booking system need to be updated, as I had a problem where my casual pass commenced immediately when I booked in advance. After several messages to the Brisbane Council they ended up refunding me.

ただし、事前にインターネットで登録が必要ですので、利用予定がある場合は、出発前に済ませておいた方が良いと思います。

I had used city cycle a couple of years ago and also in other cities around the world. Brisbane can be congratulated for how they have made this an easy to use service with many convenient stations around the city. I was staying here with my son and found the station just outside our apartment very convenient. I purchased a translink card for our travel around the city and then for me I bought a monthly subscription for $5 for unlimited 30min journeys. Given we are close to the city and public transport this was great to get to public transport and for the small shops we did for groceries. I highly recommend visitors giving this a go. There are also so may bike paths along the river that it’s very easy to get around safely. Helmets and bike locks are supplied too. Next time I will be bringing my own helmet though.
