Great play area for kids. For adults, there is the best cafe in cairns alongside it to..Muddy's. A great place to let the kids run wild and the adults to have a chat and a coffee, whilst keeping an eye on the kids

While tables were busy, the wait times were horrific. We decided to take away food and drinks. The shortest wait for anything to take away was a 15 minute wait for a smoothie. It might be good if you want to stand around and play statues, but not good if you just want to eat or drink something.

Fantastic location for a family with young kids. Water play, playground and cafe. Enough activities to keep the kids entertained and give the parents a well earned break. The cafe was a bit so so, but that will be reviewed sperately. Able to have a picnic at the location, so all round it was great for a couple of hours.

Great coffee, an amazing & Friendly team and what a spectacular view.
We certainly appreciated the recommendation from one of the local airport transfer drivers Charlie @excellencecoaches&tours.
Was a lovely environment to watch the local cruise day trip boats and perfect for a quick coffee.

stopped here to fill in time with our interstae family and the kids enjoyed every minute while we enjoyed coffee and a chat, frieindly staff as well. very pleasant

You could easily spend half a day at Muddy's Playground, the area is set up as lots of different playgrounds with water play at some.
The cafe set in the centre of the playground is a great additional although when we went it was a 45 min wait for take away coffees but it was really busy on a Saturday Morning in school holidays.

great fun for younger children lots to play on and water, kids love water. The cafe is on site and serve the most delightful meals and smoothies.

I loved walking along the Esplanade while in Cairns and one of the highlights for me was Muddies Playground. I can't say I've seen every adventure playground in Australia but I reckon Muddies must rank right up with the best. I was particularly impressed by all the shade (mostly from mature trees) and the great variety of fun activities that the kids could enjoy. A playground to let imaginations run free - just wish I was able to introduce my 4-year-old grandson to the place. He was far away in Sydney but he would have had a ball at Muddies.

There’s no parking area for muddies, just road side parking, which is free for 3 hours at a time.

Anywhere Along the esplanade is good.
From harbour lights to muddys its a 10 minute walk. Big rooms there. Easy order coffee downstairs at dundees real real early in the morning !
