This is a fun day visiting well-known and lesser-known wineries chosen by Stel. The price might seem high compared to a hop on hop off tour, but you get so much more: no tasting fees or waiting around for the next bus, a very good lunch with wine (or other drink if you need a break), and of course all of Stel’s knowledge about wine and this area.

Not just a "designated driver" so you can enjoy your wine. Stel is a wealth of knowledge not just about wine in general but about the local vineyards and the families that run them. I noticed that some of the other wine tours had a prescribed list of places they 'always' go to. Stel handpicked the cellar doors based on where we were likely to have the best experience (owner present, no other crowds). You can tell Stel is invested deeply in showcasing the best of the region and in ensuring guests have a great time.

Stel organised a relaxing three winery plus lunch tour of the Derwent and Coal River Valleys for us (two couples) and we had a wonderful day. We appreciated Stel's warmth, genuine interest in us, his attention to detail and the great store of knowledge he provided about the region and wineries we visited. We visited Derwent Estate, Stefano Lubiana and Craigow wineries and had a lovely lunch at The Shed at Derwent Estate. The quality of the wines was high. Stel's communication and consideration throughout the development process was second-to-none and I can highly recommend his tours. Thanks, Stel! Kind regards, Peter, Judy, Karyn & Greg.

Stel curated a 5 day (19 wineries) for 8 wine lovers of varying aptitude. From planning to execution, he did not disappoint. Of particular note is that Stel is able to gauge his audience and share his vast wine knowledge at the appropriate time and level. We learned a lot and met so many interesting vignerons along the way!

There were / are so many interesting people in your circle, and on our tour. I had a wonderful time hearing all of the interesting stories and memories from each guest on our 5 day tour through the Coal River Valley, Derwent Valley, East Coast and Tamar Valley regions.

We really enjoyed this tour. Thanks Stel for being our guide and explaining everything and for the detailed notes.
We visited four wineries in total and tried a variety of wines at each. I think we got to taste from 6-12 wines at each, sparkling, whites and reds in different varieties, each with an explanation.
On our tour we got to visit two wineries in the Derwent Valley area and two in the Coal River area, and stopped in at Richmond for lunch.

This was by far the most enjoyable and educational wine tour we have ever had the pleasure of going on! We have been on quite a few worldwide.
Stel is very passionate about his wine and this came across from the beginning of the trip.
We visited 4 wineries and also had lunch included; no hidden extras. The only outlay was on us buying wine, which we did!
The last two stops at Uplands & Craigow were both very personal with Michael & Barry. It was like sitting in a front room with a friend! And the wines at both wineries were excellent too.
Stel offered a great personal experience for the moment of pick up to the final drop off! If 6 stars were available, that would have been the rating!
Highly recommended.

Stel was great on our Coal Valley wine tour with my wife and I for the day. He meet us promptly at a coffee house nearby and we were able to let him know what we were interested in since we are in the wine business. He did an amazing job selecting interesting cellar doors for us and knew everyone. Great lunch at a winery and fun conversations with winemakers and cellar door managers. He took us around the local sights like Richmond and was alway full of knowledge of the area and the vineyards. I recommend him highly and will tour with him again when I am in Hobart.

Stel, our guide introduced us to some great winemakers and was a wealth of knowledge.
The tour exceeded our expectations and was an absolute education on all things wine related.

Amazing host, wine information and exploring wineries and wines we would never get to try. Put this on your to do list when in Hobart, excellent day out and a great fun time. We will do again.
