Hi there GraceT1755 Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience at The Perth Mint. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the various displays in the Gold Exhibition and range of items available in The Perth Mint Shop. We strive to accommodate a range of budgets and styles that would be favoured by all visitors to the Mint. Little treasures like a $2 postcard depicting The Perth Mint's 1 Tonne Gold Coin to a $550,000 Argyle Pink diamond ring - The Perth Mint has something for everyone. Kind regards The Perth Mint

Hi all. Planning to visit The Perth Mint in mid December on a weekday morning. Would I be able to buy tickets on arrival? Or should I buy them online ahead of time? thanks
Get there early to book tour. We missed out on a the first one and had to fill in an hour before next booking. It's popular!
Hi, For a single traveller in their 30s travelling by themself, is it worth going to visit Perth Mint. And is there much to do and see there and be interested about? Particularly if you don't have large amounts of money to spend on items there?
If you are interested in the inner workings of a Mint. There is an entry cost. For cheaper things to do, look up Perth Walking Tour or visit Claisebrooke Cove
Hi Perth mint, I notice in 'the blurb' on your website it mentions sovereign watches for sale but I couldn't find them on your shop tab? Do you still have them? Am I looking in the wrong spot? If not, can you advise a good gift for an 80 yr old man! :)
Hi there, we sell coin watches in our shop and we do on our website (Although this service is temporarily unavailable due to a website upgrade. We are hoping the watches will be back on line by the end of the week). We don't stock sovereign watches, however, we do sell sovereign pendants and rings that can be made to order. Please call our shop on 9421 7376 if you require any further information. Kind regards
Am I able to buy a silver bar while visiting the mint?

Please note that certain payment restrictions and ID requirements apply to bullion purchases. It is best to check with The Perth Mint Shop at 08 9421 7376 for the most up-to-date information before coming in to make a purchase.
What's the difference between the Perth mint and the mint in Canberra?
Established as a branch of Britain’s Royal Mint in 1899, The Perth Mint is the oldest operating Mint in Australia. Wholly-owned by the State Government of Western Australia since 1970, The Perth Mint is empowered to issue the Australian Precious Metals Coin Program as legal tender and also strikes many of Australia’s limited edition collector coins, highly sought-after throughout the world for their superb proof quality and exquisite numismatic treatments. As one of Western Australia’s leading tourist attractions, The Perth Mint also offers a unique combination of activities, exhibitions and demonstrations as part of its admission-based guided tour, enabling visitors to experience the astonishing allure of gold. The Royal Mint in Canberra is the sole supplier of Australia’s circulating coinage. More detailed information can be found at the respective websites for both Mints.
