A lovely way to spend a day!

We spent the entire day with Phil …from our meet up in Auckland at the ferry terminal, to three wineries and a wonderful lunch on Waiheke Island, and back to Auckland. Phil took the time to explain how our day would go, gave us handouts with an itinerary, as well as a map of the island, and suggested activities. We visited three different wineries where we tasted lovely wines. In between, we saw much scenery of the island, and had a marvelous lunch at Mudbrick. The day was beautifully planned and executed. It was a pleasure!

Amazing wineries in Kumeu

We had an amazing time wine tasting with Phil. Kumeu had great wines and the wineries we went to were A+! If you’re in Auckland and have a free afternoon, make a reservation with Phil and you’ll have a wonderful time.

Fabulous, personalised Waiheke Island tour with a local guide & wine enthusiast.

What a fabulous day out with a knowledgeable and friendly local who knows Waiheke Island and its' offerings inside out. We thoroughly enjoyed tastings at 3 of the many wineries on the island, including lunch at Mudbrick.
The ability to bypass the ferry queues, travel in a private vehicle on the island with a local guide and enjoy flexibility to tailor the tour to our personal interests makes Auckland Fine Wine & Food Tours the best option of many in our view.
Thank you Phil - it was an absolute delight meeting you!

wine and food tour

We just got back from our wine tour with Phil and we had an amazing time. When we first met him he gave us a handout he took the time to put together which gave us the itinerary, a map of New Zealand, interesting facts about NZ, and NZ language, which were very informative and at times amusing. His van is impeccably clean and he provides fresh bottles of water. The wineries he chose for the tastings were lovely and many of the wines were delicious. The luncheon was outstanding and the ice cream stop was the perfect ending to a perfect wine tour. We highly recommend this tour if you come to Auckland. Phil is a very friendly and accommodating host.

Wonderful wine experience!!

What a wonderful day with Phil enjoying some of the delicious wines of the area! Phil did a wonderful job educating us about the wines, the wineries and the region.
We enjoyed a fantastic lunch in between tastings, and thoroughly enjoyed the company too!
Phil is a gem and created a most enjoyable and enriching experience for us all. If you want a first class wine experience, this surely is it!

Wine Tasting on the Beautiful Island of Waiheke

Dave and I spent an incredible day with Phil on Waiheke Island. He met us at the Ferry Building and "fast passed" us onto the boat. He had a car waiting for us and off we went on a wonderful tour of the island. It was a beautiful day and the views from various advantage points were breathtaking! Phil led us on a wine tasting tour of 3 different wineries, allowing us to taste the different types of wine that New Zealand is known for, and interspersed the tastings with a fabulous lunch at Mudbrick. Phil is so friendly and he has an amazing knowledge of Auckland, their wines, and food. It was absolutely perfect, and we highly recommend this tour.

Simply Outstanding Trip to Waiheke Island

Phil is simply fantastic! Knowledgeable, efficient and very, very friendly. The tour was a highlight of our visit to Auckland and going out to Waiheke Island is something we would highly recommend. We visited 3 vineyards, had a driving tour of the island - for which Phil is highly informed and made the trip over and back effortlessly. Highly recommend spending a day with him.

Great Waiheke Island Wine Tour

My husband and I really enjoyed our Waiheke Island wine tour with Phil last week. Phil took care of all the arrangements— tasting appointments at three good wineries, a lunch reservation, and a car rental. He made things very easy for us, meeting us at the Ferry Building to go over the plan for the day and getting us onto the ferry. His plan worked perfectly. He really knows wine, and he knows the island as well (he drove us to various scenic spots between tastings). Lunch was excellent, and we enjoyed Phil’s company. Highly recommend!

Waiheke Wine Tour with Phil

My wife and I had a wonderful day on the Waiheke wine tour with Phil. Phil is very knowledgeable about wine as well as Auckland and Waiheke island. All three wine tastings were spectacular and lunch was excellent with amazing views. I would recommend Phil and this tour to anyone interested in a wonderful day!

Team day out

We booked a team day out and went with Phil to Waiheke for the day. It was an excellent trip. Phil doesn't intrude but is there with insights and information as you need. It was low stress and very well organised. Our overseas director was blown away by our beautiful country and we were so pleased to have experienced the tour. Couldn't have picked a better way of showing him around.
