Definitely not worth the 30 minute journey

It's 30 minutes at least from the centre of Tauranga to get here. The lookout is a small wooden terrace up some steps. Yes you can see the countryside and just about make out the sea but the views are unspectacular. There are no facilities at all here. Don't waste the time to get there.

Well worth driving up to this lookout for the magnificent views over the Bay of Plenty. Great views of Mount Maunganui and the distant islands. Take binoculars if you have them.

Views were amazing bit of a drive to get there , but worth the view, the lookout could do with an upgrade, remedial work as a bit shaky

It's Tauranga!

There's really nothing there except a small structure at the top of the Minden Hill. But if you want to look out across Tauranga this is probably the best place to do it from.

Whenever we have visitors to the Bay always take them here.
Fantastic way to get your bearings and see the sights of the magnificent Bay of Plenty.
Suggest you do this on the way to the Mount as great for setting the scene!

I always take my visitors up here when the first arrive if the weather is good. The view is amazing, you can see the whole of the bay from the Mount and beyond to Whaihi
