Loved the interactive part. Made you focus and appreciate the art way more. Also really enjoyed the exposition of art work connected to Duniden and the south island.

We had some spare time in the city, so we filled it with a visit to the local art gallery. There were plenty of works by NZ artists, and also by international artists, including some lesser-known European artists from past centuries. It's not exactly the Louvre, but we spent a very pleasant hour there and could have stayed longer. Entry is free.

This is more than a gallery. More than a museum. It’s a celebration of art.
Modern and contemporary art along side older and historical.
It’s free but donation is suggested and requested.
There is thought provoking and fun art for everyone…young, old, families or solo.

This is an absolute MUST do if in Dunedin. A thoughtful and thought provoking museum. A beautiful space. I so enjoyed my visit.

The Dunedin Public Art Gallery is an absolute treasure. The staff are knowledgeable, passionate and helpful. The variety of art on display was well worth our visit. This Gallery is light-filled and appealing.

We were in Dunedin for a couple days and we made time for a visit at this public art gallery. This is one of the best public art galleries that I have ever visited. The gallery has a good mix of classic, modern, and alternative/installation art. Very attentive staff and a beautiful gallery store. My wife and I enjoyed the exhibitions and the Maori 'Bloodlines' murals on a couple of the hallways. The free full-size posters for each exhibit is a great feature: we took two of them back home.

Small, free, inspiring public art gallery. It held an interesting combination of very modern and conceptual works along with things from prior epochs. I was glad to have spent the hour we used to tour the gallery.

Hardly any art, certainly not my taste.
Thank goodness they don't charge as it certainly isn't worth paying to see.
Found the older lady to be a bit rude as well.
