这里是保护黄眼企鹅归巢的私人成立的保护区。走一段山路就可以看到各种黄眼企鹅和它们的巢穴，隐蔽处有每只企鹅的个人信息，不光有年龄，还有每年繁殖成功数，让人感到工作人员的保育工作真是无微不至

今天下午我和丈夫去了那里,接待我们的夫人很厉害 .我们看到三个企鹅，更棒的是从我看到第一个起，我就很惊讶于这位女士她是如何了解他们所做的一切，也努力投入这些美丽的物种。令人失望的是政府不帮助这些人让这些美丽的物种，希望新西兰政府能认真了解一下这里，这个地方很棒很棒很棒的,我们还看到新西兰海豹。完全推荐

我喜欢这个。我们最终看到了3-4只企鹅。工作人员努力工作，试图到达正确的地方，等待企鹅到来。一个切过来了，我们正等着它上山。工作人员真的想让我们看到企鹅们，我很感激他们的努力。

我们很喜欢企鹅的故事，也看到了企鹅之家为了保护企鹅所作的努力。企鹅之家不大但是很有趣，你还可以听到很多关于企鹅的故事。我们去户外徒步旅行的时候看见几只野生企鹅。我们是2月份去的，大多数企鹅都出海了。所以去景点的时间很重要。企鹅之家的养殖区里有一些企鹅可供观赏。

我们在筑巢区只看到了3只企鹅，其中2只躺在地上，所以实际上我们没看到很多企鹅。虽然我对这次的参观有点失望，但我对这个救助组织还是很赞赏的，所以我花的钱是值得的。如果他们不支持救助工作，那么我会认为不值得花钱去参观这个地方。不过，能在康复区看到企鹅还是很开心的。

Thank you for visiting and supporting our project here at Penguin Place. The Yellow-eyed Penguin is the most endangered penguin in the world, seeing one in the wild is good let alone three. There is 600 - 700 left on the mainland of New Zealand and over this season alone we have had over 200+ penguins through our rehab facility.

我们家人很享受这次旅程，从Louie开始，它让这趟旅程变得有趣（谢谢啦，Louie!）。我们可以近距离的看送入医院（治疗）的企鹅，我们也看到了五只野生的，没有更近但是很令人激动。远足途中的风景很漂亮。为了观看野生企鹅而建筑的百叶窗让（游客）可以看到舒适美丽的企鹅景观。听到黄眼企鹅在近几年数量下降的消息我们感到很遗憾。很高兴能用你的门票费用来支持这个有价值的事业。

当天落雨, 天气很冷. 晚上9;00开始等, 大约等了1.5小时, 见到只有十多只企鹅, 真是有点失望. 而且很黑, 很远, 人很多, 实在是看得不太清楚.

我们远足巡游的时候来过这里，作为奥塔哥企鹅和达尼丁观景之旅的一部分。结果简直是浪费我们的时间。企鹅之家的老板告诉我们，早上企鹅会出海，下午的时候才会回来，所以我们看不见。我不明白我们的远足旅程为什么安排午餐的时间过来，一只企鹅也看不见。来这千里迢迢的，我觉得还不如把时间和金钱花在达尼丁之旅上呢。

Thank you for taking the time to visit our project. On your visit you would have visited our rehabilitation facility we had 2 - 3 penguins in care. The Yellow-eyed is the most endangered penguin in the world and our working conservation programme is to help ensure their survival and we share all the other wildlife we have to offer on our journey. Blue penguins, NZ fur seals and any other wildlife that is around on the day.

How close to the Penguin's eye level is the hide, as it's only worth taking photos if you're at a similar level to the Penguin.

the hides vary in height but the photo opportunities are very good. we first got close up to the penguins in the sanctuary area. then we took the bus over to the west side and there are hides & a network of 'open tunnels' right across the cliff tops and also open areas allowing views of the beach.

Can you actually get close to the penguins or is this a tour behind a fence/barrier etc? Like a zoo?

It’s almost the reverse. The Penguins are in the wild, and you are hidden in a trench. The penguin we saw was about 15 feet from us, but it could not see us as we were hidden.

Hi, we went with Monarch Cruise from Dunedin port at 13h. They didn't pick up at Port Chalmers when we where there but you maybe can ask them. We paid aprox 260 nzd for our family of 2 adults and 2 little boys. Tip: we had a 10% Rankers app discount! Regards
