Really good service last year. Top quality gear and really flexible with our rentals. We’ll be booking with them again this year very soon!

Once again these guys looked after us with top notch service and gear - making our ski holiday perfect. Things are pretty tough for the operators in tourism right now as NZ opens up to the world again. Browns team, warm, friendly, professional and remaining upbeat despite the never ending long days! Couldn’t be faulted, Thank you. We will be back.

Awesome service, awesome gear.
On recommendation of our hotel we went to Browns ski shop. So very glad we did. Cam served us and found us the perfect fitting boots and skis. Super friendly and super knowledgeable. The shop then delivered our gear to our hotel which was fabulous. They also picked them up. Can't recommend highly enough!

Very easy to book equipment via the website. I booked at 8pm on Tuesday and collected gear at 730am on Wednesday, half a block away from the Snow Centre and buses go the slopes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to help. Honest! I ordered too much and they spotted this and refunded me the difference for the equipment I did not need. Much more efficient then renting from the mountain! Excellent experience

I cannot stress enough how fantastic the team at Browns are. My family and I have been skiing in Queenstown for a few seasons now and have hired gear from a number of places, but Browns is head and shoulders above the rest. Super helpful and knowledgeable with kids and adults. Totally happy to make changes if the gear isn't what you're after. They have always taken the time to talk me through ski options for different mountains and different conditions.
This season, I bought a pair of ex-demo/rental skis. They promptly answered my (annoying numerous) questions. They sent plenty of photos of the skis for my peace of mind and even allowed me to split my payments to work around my financial situation. Not to mention, they took the price of a day's hire off the total even though it had been weeks since I hired the skis.
And while I've only bought accessories from the retail store, my experiences there have also been the same. Can't recommend these guys enough.

Very friendly, very knowledgeable staff. Good choice of rental gear and super organised. A great one stop shop for anyone visiting and wanting to ski/board.

Amazing service, great value highly recommended. We have three loud boistress kids and they were fantastic with them. Gear was brilliant and so friendly.
They are short staffed this season due to COVID ( like everywhere) but still deliver. Booked everything on line.

Very disappointed. They were happy to work on my boots and charge me over $300 so that they fit my feet better but when I came back because they needed some more adjustment on the little toe sides, Harry seemed disinterested in assisting any more. If you go to this shop, ask for Haggis. NOT Harry. Haggis has a lot more experience. Even though Haggis was not the one assisting me, at one point while Haggis suggested to fit some angled cushions in the heels which Harry would not have suggested at all. I wish I saw Haggis instead of Harry. I'll have to pay more money elsewhere to get my boots stretched where I need them. Very disappointed.

Hi - thank you for this feedback. It is disappointing to read reviews like this but also understandable given the lack of experienced staff in NZ. Our industry has been hard hit like many others & while in a usual season we will have 5 boot-fitters working for us, last season we only had one with several new staff Haggis was frantically trying to train up. & it's not for lack of trying or because we only pay a minimal wage. It is life with Covid, closed borders, which has stopped the supply of those saisonierres that chase winters around the globe & provide an experienced workforce for the snow industry. Very sorry to hear of your experience but thank you for the feedback.

A excellent shop with excellent staff who know their stuff. We have a young family who have never been skiing before, so we were wanted to be prepared and had adequate gear for our day on the snow. Browns Ski shop had great staff and gave you personalised attention regardless of how busy it was.

These guys are fantastic - we hired gear for 9 days. They were so accommodating, friendly and helpful. They even dropped our gear at our hotel for us on our down days when we decided not To go up the mountain. Quality gear and options. Too easy. Thank you Browns. You made our winter escape amazing. We will def be back!
