Totally enjoyed our day trip with Glenn and my family of 5. He took real good care of us and showed us the local birds and area. 👍

Great experience. Glenn is magician I would say. Glenn was very informative, helpful and friendly. We booked kayaking around Newcastle for 2 hours but at the last minute, we changed our spot and went on a creek (Hexen Island) as my wife was not comfortable, being pregnant and it was her first time. Glenn instructed us and gave some lessons. Only practice took us 2 hours and then we went for kayaking for one and half hour. Glenn you really made our day. Highly recommended. We will plan sooner again with you.

An excellent morning paddling on Newcastle harbour. Great to see the city from a new angle and to get up close with the activities of a working port. Glenn was very helpful with paddling instructions and explanation of the gear. He has a no fuss and flexible approach to guiding and as many stories as you are up for.

Glenn is a great guide. I did a two hour explorer tour of the wetlands with Glenn and my two children (aged 14 and 16). We were beginners and soon got the hang of it. A fun morning and we learned a great deal about the local area. Looking forward to doing a longer tour next time.

It was my husbands birthday present. A family tour and training kayaking through the Hunter wetlands. First timers. Children aged 7 & 10years. All beginners. Glen gave us an on land lesson before we geared up that was clear, thorough and fun. The boats were super comfortable, all the gear was supplied and we confidently paddled around the wetlands for 2 hours. Glen knew the area and wildlife so well. He told us great stories of the history and the wildlife in the area. We even saw a ship wreck. We’ve lived in Newcastle for nearly 5 years. It was so wonderful to explore the area and learn so much by water. Our children absolutely loved it. A great family adventure. We would definitely do it again and next time the full day tour. There’s so much to see. Highly recommended. Glen is lovely and an excellent guide!

We just came back from Glenn's newest tour which included an overnight camp at the Little River camping ground. Our group ranged in age from 12 years to 48 years old, of average fitness and little previous kayaking experience. Whilst out on the water Glenn took the time to teach the group skills whilst ensuring the course offered an adequate challenge. At the camp he cooked us delicious meals catering to even the fussiest of eaters and entertained us with fables.
This is the second time I have toured with Glenn the first being the Sunrise Tour at Awaba Bay, which was a good starter for the kids to let them know what to expect before a more challenging trip. I highly recommend his tours which is reflected in the fact we came back.

We went on a day tour at Myall lakes. Glenn is very knowledgeable of the area and of the activity. Very big emphasis on safety prior to going in the water which I liked. He took his time to explain to us from what to do, total sun protection-- to how to paddle properly so you don't end up with a shoulder injury. He is very passionate about what he does. All we had was an amazing day and a lot of fun. This is on top of his great gourmet food on offer. If you appreciate nature, believe in sustainable adventures and still have a great time, I would definitely recommend school of yak. Glenn looked after us really well down to the minor details. It's a shame we couldn't kayak and camp due to high winds but would be looking forward in doing that in the future with school of yak!

A lovely day greeted us on the beautiful lake Macquarie. Glenn took us through all aspects of kyacking. He took time to get us safely in and out ( A lot harder than I could ever imagine). We learnt paddle strokes and turns. The rescue training was also very good, but a bit cold. I would recommend to young and old

Chose this program as an introduction to kayaking prior to maybe buying one. Was looking for solid information on what I would need to consider outside you tube videos and salespeople. Also looking to see how it might feel out on the water after a couple of decades, and general updates on Safety and Procedures. All of those needs met, and some. Even though the weather was a tad cool,windy and squally, we still had an excellent day, learned heaps, and capsized successfully (which, I'll be honest, I was NOT looking forward to). Best advice is to follow Glenn's advice re clothing recommendations, t'was very clear on the website and emails prior to the day,and I did not get cold even though by the afternoon it was quite cool with the wind chill.
Will be going back for a couple of the tours to increase my skills and find some good areas to paddle

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 14 and 11 did a day trip with Glenn. We had a really wonderful time and Glenn is an excellent and knowledgeable guide who was very engaging with the children. I would thoroughly recommend this for all ages, levels of experience and fitness. It is a beautiful and different way to see the area - and a lot of fun.
