Our tour guide, Bill, was a Hunter Valley institution himself. Lived here all of his life, a born gourmand and an entertainer. I came away with so much useful knowledge of wine making, how to pair, and how best to enjoy. Aside for the cheese and chocolate pairings, the lunch provided was also both sumptuous and generous. We returned the next day for breakfast and I enjoyed the best egg and bacon roll of my life. Who knew that such a humble snack could be elevated to a chefs hat level (prepared by the wonderful Katy).
On every measure, this was best wine tour I’ve ever had.
