“Excellent use of the “space””

What a Joke
When you have been to Brim and done the silo trail you see interesting locals and a story available from a pleasant parking spot
Here it looks like a poor copy cat effort
No one knows the subjects and you can not see what the artist tried to impart
probably better from a light plane if you have one

The silos have been demolished

Visited the silos on 28th March 2020, as the demolition had started. Revisited 13th May 2020. The silos are now rubble. Five star review as they were great while they were there, but even Rone (the artist) knew the artwork might not be there forever.

Excellent use of the “space”

Came across this on a drive around whilst in Geelong and was really impressed with both the use of the old cement works silos and also the quality of the artwork put there. These are local “heroes” represented and will give local people a sense of pride along with disguising what would previously been a bit of an eyesore. Well done.

Silo Art

An imposing Silo with amazing artwork on it that can be clearly seen from the highway as you drive along. Up close it is difficult to get a good look or photo of it as there's nowhere to park. Unlike many other Silo Artworks this one we were unable to get close to due to the fence around it. But as with the other silos the artwork is superb. Three giant faces that represent important local people, an athlete, long time cement worker and an indigenous queen's descendant, painted by a world renowned street artist who was also born in Geelong. The area would be better to visit if the location was developed around it.

I was a little dissappointed that you couldn't park close to these Silos to take a photo.
I can understand why now after seeing all the Graffiti on the bottom of the Silos, which is very sad. ☹😲😮
Was happy that No one had done any Graffiti on the actual Silos.
You can park your car and walk to them but you are going on Private Property and from the photo's I have seen you get all the Graffiti in your photo's
We decided to go to the Housing Estate across from them and and after zooming the phone up got some good photo's
If your quick you can get photo's If you go along the Ring Road
Differently worth going and seeing. 👍👌😉😎🤗

Nice artwork, but poor setting.

The artwork is as good as the other black and white silo art around Victoria, but it's not easy to view due to the location, in a fenced off, old cement factory.

Art work - amazing; surrounding area encircled by cyclone fencing detracts from the enjoyment.

Art Silos in Fyansford.

This is a great sight to see as you drive through the outskirts of Geelong as it towers above everything else. The artist has produced a great job that would not have been easy to achieve but it looks so good up close.

Follow these directions

If you use the directional pin on TripAdvisor you end up in the wrong spot. Best way is to put Hyland St into Maps and head for the intersection with McCurdie St. You can park in front of the old cement works.

You don’t see the murals from McCurdie St. They face Hyland ave. For close up view walk 100 metres down Hyland St to walking path to viewing platform which is locked off. Your view is through a fence. Better view is further 300 metres down Hyland St looking back but you need to walk, no parking and road is narrow.

Good distant view from M1, just north of the B140 or from odd spot Fyansford suburb.
