It's a very nice town square, very spruced up and a lot of variety. Old memorials though to modern sculptures. If you're a photographer, then a great selection of subject matter for a photoshoot, that you wouldn't think was there. A good location for the Intercity bus terminal if you need to kill time before your bus or during a stopover.

Really well kept with it being in the heart of Palmerston North. Plenty of space to walk around and great deal of seating available; which is fantastic on a nice sunny day. Is great to have with the amount of shops that surround the square. Also greta that it has public toilets and the i-Site within the vicinity for any needed help during its opening hours.

Very relaxing walk in the central city. The fountains in the little lake very relaxing to sit and watch

Attractive green space in the middle of the city. Pond, flowers, statues and a giant chess set flanked by shops, cafes, restaurants and The Plaza shopping center. The iconic clocktower looks down over this area.
There is plenty of parking bordering The Square, start your visit to Palmy here as this is also the home of the Information Center (i Site)

A pleasant area in the centre of a city that seemed to have seen better times. There is a clock tower which is quite impressive close to a war memorial. Flower beds and sculptures also enhance the area. Perhaps in need of a bit of attention, but never the less a pleasant place to relax or stroll around.

The Square is located in the city center, Palmerston North. Its has the Clock Tower standing in the middle of The Square. Shopping mall 'The Plaza', banks, cafes and shops surround The Square.

Very popular area which is used for entertainment and competitions for various organisations. Families can use it for picnics and generally relaxing. Also used for multi-cultural days where the different cultures can display their different food and clothes. There are often celebrations such as Christmas, New Years Eve, Anzac Day, Massey Unversity Graduation celebrations, Young Farmers Day and sometimes an ice skating rink. Very nice area and the City encourages its use. plus it is close to the Mall and shopping

The Square is the heart of the very pleasant city of Palmerston North. The Square is actually a small park with the Hopwood Clock Tower as its centrepiece, there is also a duck pond, statues, I-SITE Information Centre and some very nice landscaped areas for relaxing. I visited The Square on many occasions during my time spent in the city and was somewhere I was always drawn to, it is well maintained and well looked after and worth spending some time there whilst on a visit to Palmerston North.

This is a lovely square with alt to see new highlights made to look at around the square. information centre which i a ery nice one with helpful staff close by. The plaza which has a lot to see with quite a few banks in their so they open 7 days a week. ASB BNZ WESTPAC, but two ATMs KIWI BANK ANZ.Eatery in their with 4 cafes .then you have many places to look at around the square.

Overseas visitors may wonder what all the fuss is about as it probably isn't what they would expect to see. It's just a central part of Palmy. Events are often held there at weekends so pop in if you are going past, just in case something interesting is happening. But is it worth a special stop just to see it? No.
