Great venue, have been a few times. Not sure what's going on with the staff at the moment - the service was the worst I've experienced anywhere. Plenty of them around but trying to get them to acknowledge you when you're standing at the bar was weirdly difficult.

Great venue and the staff are awesome, it’s a must do in the sting’s, good beer selection and drinks great layout and nice way to spend a night day or whatever

I love the relaxed environment of the common room and especially love sipping great tap beers while sitting on a comfy couch. Tonight we tried their pizzas. Delicious! We will definitely be coming back for more!

Spent a terrible New Year's Eve here - 6 of us, almost $200 in total, music was dire and we left just after 11pm. I provided some feedback to them, thought it would help, didn't even have the decency to respond - so much for supporting people through this pandemic! Will never be back. Perhaps if they had responded to polite feedback, I'd have respect for this venue. But, I don't!!

Caught it early evening for an early dinner.
Rooster beer is tasty & fresh flavoured.
Steak & blue cheese burger hit the mark,
Toasted sandwich was filling.
Great friendly staff.

We recently had pre-dinner drinks here and found the drink selection and service great. The space is eclectic (not a bad thing) but pokey....which wasn’t great in terms of getting a good table for a group. However, it was good to see that The Common Room is popular...which is why we didn’t get a good spot when we arrived approx 5.30 on a Friday night. I didn’t visit the bathroom but my friend didn’t like it...I imagine it’s just an average pub toilet that most would find adequate however. Good venue for live music if you’re in to a bit of Indie.

My favorite bar in New Zealand. Coolest staff, excellent gigs, live DJs, beautiful backyard, yummy hamburgers, and the finest craft beer. Do not miss.

Lovely staff, good beer selection and even lovely bouncers at the door when we mentioned it was our 1 year wedding anniversary he had some great advice for my husband 😉🥰 just lovely, lovely people ❤️ will definitely be our new local! Keep it up guys 😘

Good for just hang out with friends, or try amazing beers with your partner. Lovely atmosphere. Kids friendly, good playground.
