There were lots of people but that's because it was someone's birthday there. The slides are great but not that thrilling but still fun. Not as good as overseas parks but great for NZ.

We had a great day at splash planet, ice cream was great value for money too! Massive scoops. Lots of shady areas to relax and kept us busy all day. Love that everything is included in the entry fee. We enjoyed the non water related activities too mini golf, giant chess and playgrounds.
Didn't think it catered for our 5yo son (1.15m) very well though, the trip was for his birthday.
Skip the swim if you have a 4-6yo as they can't go on any hydroslides anyway. Best suited to kids 7 ish and over, taller then 1.20m.
The kids pool and lazy river which my 5yo was excited to go in initially we're freezing so he didn't go in them and neither did we. We spent most of our time in the warm pool inside.
The tamer slides like the Master blaster and tube slide would have been fine for him. Our local aquatic centre has a faster more exciting slide then that and he's allowed on that one.
The highlight for our son was non swimming activities like the jungle jeeps, flying fox, train and go karts (after waiting the entire day to have a ride in the double one). We waited for an hour and then the only double gokart ran out of Battery so we couldn't do the gokart, it took 2 hours to recharge, my son was guttered. Came back just before close and waited 45min to finally get a ride which was the highlight of the whole day. My boy was so patient. They really need to find a better system to keep this gokart going all day though. Either swap the entire battery out or get another one. The gokart lady also often let single riders in the only double one which many of us in line with young kids felt was unfair.

It’s too expensive for what it is!
The park is a lot smaller to what it was like a few years ago.
They took away so many iconic features and rides that held so many memories.
The park looked like a trailer park. There were too many tents, gazebos, tables etc that made it look tacky. I understand the reason why these are allowed into the park as the price of the entrance fee is already too expensive and to pay additional for food is too costly for the average family.
Lines were long and the service slow for food.
Very disappointing and sadly I won’t be returning.

Went there 2 adults and 2 kids the water park is awesome fun and really recommend it. Staff were friendly and welcoming and water activates were well worth the trip, the go carts were a bit disappointing 2 hrs waiting for about 5 laps around the track they had 8 go carts and only use 3 at a time probably because they have electric motors and the jeeps were just as bad wait over an hour in the hot sun to do 4 or five laps at idling speed around the track. i would not pay the extra money for these rides but really loved the water slides and other activities. best to get there early and claim some land under the shaded areas but splash planet is well worth the money.

Awful. After 40 minutes in line. My child needed to go to toilet and we had to leave the line and ask where we could go. We were directed to a public toilet and when I asked if they were near capacity he said probably. I said maybe he should mention it to the people in line. He said he didn't care about the people who didn't make it in bcs they hadn't paid. I said maybe he could be nice to all the people in line. In response he called me an a*hole.
My kids still wanted to go in but by the time we got back from the toilet stop the line hadn't moved and because of mismanagement people were cutting on all over. So we gave up.
Horrible customer service particularly for families on a hot day.

We went to splash planet on Wellington anniversary weekend.2children and two adults.We had a great time,changing rooms clean and tidy.Staff were very good.
The water quality was fine.Some things were a little dated,but that did not distract from our enjoyment.

Exceptional value for money

This is the absolute worst water park I’ve ever been to. Firstly there was no sign differentiating online tickets to physical tickets, and the wristband person was right behind the ticket taker, stopping queue movement. When we got in, we found the “lifeguards” were disinterested in anything going on beyond their own gossip, the water was freezing with a bunch of rubbish floating in it, there wasn’t enough tubes or mats for the slides and there was no system in place for distribution of them. The train guy was the most unenthusiastic attendant I’ve ever met, and the slide attendant was letting anyone go at any time, whether they had queued or not. There was no go karts due to staff shortages - pity as we paid extra for the super pass for that reason and we weren’t told at the entrance. The hot drinks weren’t available at the coffee shop so I thought we would have a look through the gift shop, and the staff member in there was talking trash about customers to a couple of pool staff members. I understand the park has financial difficulties, I can see why. We wont be back nor recommending anyone else visit. What a waste of our time and money.

We had an amazing time with our 6 and 7 year old. They went on all the slides and loved it. The pool inside is heated and perfect for warming up on an overcast day. Lazy river was very long and great to chill out. Lots of families, well prepared with picnics and shade tents, but never had to wait long for the slides.

Hi, my question is about the swim and slide only pass. I have emailed splash planet but they could not help me. Which slides are included in the swim only pass? All the slides appear to also be rides, so I am wondering if the swim pass is only swimming?

Yup that's correct the swim pass is only for swimming. That is inclusion of the slides and indoor pool slide but there are a few out of water attractions like go carts, kayak, mini jeeps, and bumper boats that you can not go on. But that's ok depending who you are going with. The out of water attractions usually have long lines and are fun for kids age 4-10 maybe. Hope this helps x

Kia ora, we have a few different options so best to check out our web site. Also, we open at 10am and rides and slides and pools close at 5.30pm and the park shuts at 6pm. I hope this helps.
