What do you do when you fly from Portland, Oregon to the Dominican Republic to fish, and you have arranged the fishing trip well in advance with Fishing Las Terrenas and reconfirmed your fishing trip the day you depart the US? Here’s what: your captain does not show up, your phone calls and frantic emails are not returned. You and your family are left high and dry on a beautiful day for fishing, with NO communication from this terrible company.

Not well organized. The trip started more than 2 hour late. The captain did worthless trolling in extremely stormy weather and really rough seas instead of fishing somewhere near reef or on the bottom in some more protected area. Nobody from the crew spoke any English or other language. We have not had single bite for 4 hours. Other wise good people, good boat and good equipment.

We are sorry you feel this way about the fishing charter tour. As you know as an experienced angler, we cannot guarantee fishing, and we certainly can't control the weather.
We do apologize about the delay and we explained to you it was due to a misunderstanding with another client. We could have cancelled the tour, but instead we did go out of our way in difficult circumstances to accommodate your request since we had two other groups waiting. We even gave you an extra hour of fishing time as compensation for your trouble.
We hope we can make it up to you next time you are in our neck of the woods.

I have to say, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the friendliness and professionalism Jesus, his wife and the crew treated us with. The hidden cove for snorkeling with the kids was breath taking and the private beach and lunch was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend anyone looking for an true caribbean experience of a lifetime with top notch service to consider reserving with Jesus of the PlayMax. It was just awesome!

Our experiece was AMAZING from start to end. Both Alma and Jesus are great host and for sure know their way around Las Terrenas. We used them in couple of trips. Both incredible local beaches and hidden plances. For sure places that only locals will know about!! I will be more the happy to highly recomend them any time.

Aller a la pêche avec Las Terrenas Fishing est formidable. Il y a aussi le tuba. Mon épouse a aimé le tuba de même que moi . A une prochaine visitenous irons à la pêche avec le bateau.

We had a great time snorkling and visiting a deserted beach with a river and mangroves. The boat was great and the crew was professional. The rum was good, too! Awseome day, highly recommended!

The boat is super comfortable and the boat captain (born and raised in Las Terrenas) extremely knowledgable of the reefs. We were able to enjoy the company of Jesus' and Alma (the owners and now our dear friends!) We toured "The Whales" and snorkeled at Punta Bonita......it was stunning. The water is crystal and the variety of tropical fish amazing. We then all went to Playa Coson, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! We ate alfresco under the coconut trees, Mounds of freshly prepared seafood. AHHHHH Paridise

We had an amazing day out on Alma and Jesus's boat. The captain was very knowledgeable and took us to one of the greatest coral reefs that I have ever seen. The co-captain stayed with us at all times to ensure our safety. Then we went on a great adventure to a private beach with a river running through it. The co captain literally climbed the trees to get us coconuts so we could enjoy some refreshing coconut water and fresh sweet coconut. It was beautiful way to see the beaches and mountains of Las Terrenas! Alma and Jesus are very knowledgeable about the area and I would highly recommend at boat trip with them during your visit. It is on the top of my list for my next visit.

So we chartered the boat for day excursion
We started in the morning we went off to this beautiful beach were we went snorkelling with the kids the water was very calm and kids felt completely comfortable going in the water and they were so excited to see all differrent kinds of fish after that we went off to beautiful seculded beach for lunch
The scenery and the beach was just spectacular we got to swim in the water
It was just amazing private beach just for us there was no body around
They provided with fresh lobster that they cooked up with salad and pototoes and some other things it was just perfect and Delicous
We had such an awesome and memorable day
One advise not to eat too much in the morning because the waves sometimes get little rough so have a very light breakfast
If you are in las terenas this is a must it's a great family memory
They spoke perfect English as well which was a big plus for us as well

We have utilized a few different boat tour and fishing charter outfits in Las Terrenas over the past three years. While they are all pretty decent, Las Terrenas Fishing Tours stands out as the BEST OPERATION of them all They have the newest boat in town that is very well appointed and comfortable. They have all the safety, navigation and communication equipment one would expect, something I did not see on the other boats. Best of all is the people! Captain Comisario has been fishing these water as a young boy with some 20+ years experience of where to go and how to navigate these sometimes tricky waters. Do yourself the favor and call them and speak to Jesus. You will be pleased you connected!
