Prince Henry Cliffside Walk is a long walking trail, extending from Scenic World, Katoomba, past Echo Point, the Three Sisters and Leura to Gordon Falls Picnic area.
The walk takes you deep into the Australian bushland past some of the most scenic of the Blue Mountains sights. Along the way we passed waterfalls and cascades, panoramic lookouts and viewing platforms built out over the valleys as well as dramatic cliffs and spectacular rock formations.
It is not a circuit and in total, the 7km trail will take at least 3-4 hours.
However you can dip in and out of it, which is what we did. We did two sections on different days.
One day, we did a very short section, starting at Echo Point and heading up and over the cliff towards the Three Sisters.
Another day, we started from the Scenic World car park and walked around towards Wentworth Falls, then returned to Scenic World on the Round Trail.
The track is varied. Mostly it’s a compacted dirt, bushland path, with some stairs and some steep parts. Some sections are pretty rough and narrow and it can get muddy and slippery in patches, especially after wet weather. There is no bush scrambling or rock climbing and overall, there is nothing that is too difficult. The main hazards are tree roots and rocks that can trip up the unwary.
National Parks advise that it is a ‘moderately challenging’ walk which is a pretty fair assessment.
Make sure to take water bottles, a hat and sunscreen (and snacks if you’re doing the whole walk). There’s quite a lot of shade from the tree canopy so for a lot of the time you are not constantly exposed to the sun.
Basic sign-posts appear at various points along the way., particularly at places where tracks intersect or where there’s a small detour to a lookout point. The lookout points are always worth doing.
The signs almost always give an estimate estimate of how long it will take to get to the next main point which is pretty helpful.
We also picked up a map from the Tourist Information Centre (there’s one at Katoomba & Echo Point) and we found that the NSW National Parks website is also a handy resource, with good maps and information.

Wir sind vormittags von Echo Point bis Scienic World gegangen. Tolles Licht und beeindruckende Natur. Es gibt viele tolle Ausblicke.
Unter der Woche ist weniger los.
Scienic World bietet als Ziel einiges an. Auch eine Busfahrt zum Ausgangspunkt.

I reckon it is a must to go to Prince Henry Cliff Walk when you visit Blue Mountains. The walk contains a few trails and you can choose the ones suit your ability, fitness and time. The view of the lookout is stunning in Sydney's standard. It isn't far away from Sydney so it is worth to go there once you want to be away from the city.

Es un camino pequeño que bordea el barranco cerca de las 3 sisters. No ir si tiene problemas de movilidad

Great for a short relaxing walk or for a longer one. Walk towards Leura or Echo Point. Stop along the way at the many lookouts to enjoy world class views.

This great walk in the Blue Mountains takes you to the Leura Cascades. This in itself makes the walk worthwhile. There are some sections that get a little steep and after rain it can get a bit slippery. Still it is worth the effort to enjoy this part of the Blue Mountains.

Prince Henry Cliff Walk starts off as a very easy paved walkway, but soon enough gets to a rough track, which I found after some rains had become quite muddy.
The views along are well worth the venture, just make sure to wear the right footwear

A fabulous walking experience for all ages and levels of fitness. Some sections require more time and average fitness to negotiate stairs but the reward comes in spectacular views of the sheer rock formations and the Jamison Valley.

We walked from Scenic World to Echo Point after we had done the cableway. The views are lovely but one issue is that some of the path was really wet. Other parts were fine.
