Google reviews have been disabled for this place and all the most recent ones will immediately tell you why.
I'm double vaxed, voluntarily signed into the shop at the door before spending no more than 15 minutes trying to find a single book that didn't make me laugh at its delusional price tag. The owner then cornered me, said "you better have a big stack of books you're gonna buy" and told me I had to leave because he "has to wear a mask while there are customers in the shop". I legitimately thought he was joking.
I couldn't believe how laughably entitled and rude this bootleg Bernard Black was to the only customer in his overpriced fire hazard of a shop. Stick to your eBay store mate, staying open to the public is clearly causing your reputation more harm than good (and telling Google you're "Permanently closed" to ward off more current reviews like this is at best disingenuous, at worst fraud).
That "big stack of books" he expected me to buy is gonna have to come from somewhere else or any online retailer with a realistic idea of how pricing works.
Miserable experience, glad I didn't buy anything, won't be returning.

We paid a return visit to this great place. As usual, the books on offer are fabulous -- many rare volumes, including a number from the private library of Dorothea MacKellar, complete with her signature and bookplates. Michael the owner is a friendly font of knowledge about books and the stories behind them. If you're in Lismore, drop in and have a quality browse -- you won't leave without finding some sort of treasure!

This recycled church is a good place to explore if you like to sifting through old books and assorted bric-a-brac. The operators has made great use of the space, with a huge amount of stuff crammed into the premises, including odd things like old bicycles hanging from the ceiling. Most of the books seemed to be old and well-worn hard-copies - didn't see much in the way of trashy paperbacks or recent remainders. And they were on sales at half the marked prices when I visited - making for some true bargains to be had.

This rare, antique and secondhand book store is centrally located and services not only Lismore with books from estates, but also the surrounding towns. Located in an old building, this book store is packed to the brim full of wonderful titles. We discovered some great rare books in the genre we were after. Helpful and friendly owner. Very pleased and satisfied with our visit.

We found a great selection of old detective fiction books here -- many first editions and some very interesting titles. The owner is very friendly and dedicated. We purchased a number of books at good prices and will be going back!

A great little find tucked away in a side St, though nearby cafes & restaurants, a quaint little book shop with a myriad of treasures, books, gifts, tarot cards & the usual & not so usual post cards, you can easily find yourself lost for time amongst the quirky & different here, some hard to get books & books on self enlightenment as well as the ones you'd normally expect, it has stairs at the front so not so much wheel chair friendly, also narrow aisles & perhaps not the place for toddlers

Found this place by accident.Lots of great , hard to find books , especially Australian.Relaxed and laid back and heaps of other great things.Retro bikes , pottery , tools.All sorts of goodies.

OK, as attractions go this one doesn't come with bells and whistles, health and safety warnings, minimum age restrictions or whatever. What is there is... well it's a bunch of old bric-a-brac. Trash and treasure kind of stuff. The fun is just mooching about the places looking at all the weird and wonderful old things that are for sale. It's not just the books it's the old time kitchen utensils, tourist trappings and even some old LP's. Mementos of civic anniversaries, royal visits, old bikes, old books and old time childrens toys - it really is all here.
So don't just walk past. Pop in and have a look.

Books and Stuff is a family operated Antique and Collectable shop in Lismore.
Thousands of Collectable and second hand books.
Has everything imaginable, Australian pottery to push bikes.
Such a great place to take the kiddies and something for everyone.
