This is not a loop walk. It can be started at either end - Two Mile Bay Carpark or Port Campbell Bay. I would recommend starting in Port Campbell Bay near the suspension bridge. The path begins behind the Surf Life Saving Clubhouse on the corner of Cairns St and Tregea St. The suspension bridge takes you across the Port Campbell Creek. Then you continue up fairly steep wooden stairs to reach the Discovery Walk. To avoid the bridge and stairs, there is also access from the scenic lookout on the Great Ocean Road. From here, there are panoramic views across Port Campbell. My suggestion would be to walk along the path until the views disappear, and then walk back. Once beyond the views, the walk seems pointless. It is certainly not scenic. However, if walking in the Aussie bush is the desired experience, there is 4.4km on a well maintained path. It would be ideal to walk the 4.4km in one direction and be collected at the end point! In the latter case, I would walk from Two Mile Bay towards Port Campbell.

Great walk with lovely views of Port Campbell - about 4.4K there and back. You can no longer access it from the beach as it’s blocked off. Access is over the bridge by the campground and then up steps to the track. Very easy track once there.

My wife and I did this walk recently, during our holiday along The Great Ocean Road for three nights.
We enjoyed the scenery in the small Coastal town of Port Campbell and the physical exercise from the walk. The Spring weather was excellent with sunny skies.
After six Covid-19 lockdowns in Melbourne, it was very nice to be out in the regional areas of Victoria. Especially when there are no foreign tourists and very few (if any) interstate travellers due to the pandemic. A fantastic time to travel.

Experience the iconic clifftops that signify the Great Ocean Road. Look out for native wildlife hiding out among the coastal heath at dusk and absorb the unforgettable panoramas back to Port Campbell, Sentinel Rock and the Twelve Apostles.
There are steps for a short section at the beginning of the walk. The walk will take you through Port Campbell National Park. It starts at the Port Campbell Lookout and ends at the Two Mile Carpark. They recommend that it will take you 1.5 hours and it's a 4.4kilometre walk in total.
Also they remind individuals that dogs and cats are not permitted.

This is a wonderful cliff-top walk from Port Campbell, with views of the harbour and then back all the way to Loch Ard and the Twelve Apostles.

There are stairs leading from Port Campbell Beach up to the Discovery Walk. We love the walk along the cliffs in the foliage.

As you arrive here there is an excellent car park and from here, you can walk along the Port Campbell Discovery Walk. From here you can see the Port Campbell Foreshore which is stunning and I've reviewed. I liked that in July there were still people having a swim. Brrrr.... it was cold, although they did have wetsuits.
Note that the walk traverses the cliff top so if you suffer from vertigo it may be challenging. Stay on the tracks. The flora is amazing with coastal health being the main shrubs here. Sometimes you will see wildlife like wallabies, particularly at dawn or dusk but there certainly is plenty of birdlife. The views from here are uninterrupted to Sentinel Rock and the 12 Apostles.
The track is not suitable for strollers or prams or wheelchairs and if you use a walking frame or cane it would be challenging. Some areas may be restricted because of tides.
Good parking. Kid friendly. Not really wheelchair friendly. Bring your own food and refreshments.

We parked our car and went to the Port Campbell Discovery Walk. Someone asked about thus walk. After telling what we will see, he headed to the trail as well.
The first beauty was the Port Campbell Foreshore. People were swimming in the ocean.
Then we saw the coastline. It was huge and attractive!
The last attraction, not the favorite for damsels: Lots of spiders. However, the spiders were beautiful. I had never seen an a spider with these colors.
Then we had to go down.
We had a great time and we enjoyed the views we had seen, even the spiders.
This is really worthwhile!

It was well worth the climb and effort to get to the top and then get to look down over the town, this really puts into perspective the beauty of Port Campbell.
Definitely not for people with disabilities due to the energy required.
