Fabulous day. Everything we needed easily available. Winning Streak restaurant provides excellent view of paddock and finishing line without having to move if you don’t want to. You can sit back and enjoy delicious x3 course lunch and good quality wine.

Charlotte looked after us well amid some confusion which I caused!
The ladies in the OT office then assisted and we had a lovely day.
Only slight hiccup was the lady at the desk who took our payment was a bit upset and it showed but I have to admit it was not an easy situation with lots of changes

Great to spend time in the new Horseshoe Cafe and Bar. Weather was cold and wet at times so we spent most of the day in doors. The number of horses in all the races was disappointing.

This is the 4th time we have been to the New Year Races with hospitality, the racing is always excellent, however the last 2 years the hospitality has been poor and this year very poor. Our meal was of very low standard and the younger waiting staff were amateurish. In view of the price it was not value for money. The older staff as always were excellent.

Facilities better than ever hadn't been in a while much improved.

Had a lovely day at catterick races on New year's day , in the hospitality restaurant , food mainly very good , waitresses could have been a bit more attentive considering the price we paid 🤔had a few winners so that's always good 😊

A nice way to start the new year and all the horses came home safe. Although its a two hour drive it is worth it. Facilities ahve been improved over the years which is good to see as it cant be easy for regional courses like this to invest

Excellent facilities and good catering with prices reasonable.would not hesitate to recommend cat trick races for a day out with friends.one of the best in yorkshire

We are long time visitors to Catterick Races on New Years Day. In recent years we have seen some significant upgrades to the facilities, most of which are welcome. The new Horseshoe Cafe Bar has replaced the old cafe with a contemporary upgrade. Unfortunately in doing so, I feel it has lost some of its connection to racegoers. Traditionally we have arrived fairly early at the course and headed to the cafe for a welcoming and warming home baked meat pie and peas to fuel us for the rest of the day. It was disappointing therefore to find no such food on the new menu, with the hot (warmish) food consisting of either soup or a roast pork sandwich with of all things, a salad. Seating was at a premium inside the venue, even when arriving early, with many of the tables being taken up by visitors to the integral bar. The other option would have been to visit the outdoor food van and to dine on the outdoor patio, but even with patio heaters it wasn't an inviting proposition. I appreciate that race courses are having to look to their game in a competitive market place and need to attract a new customer base, but they also need to take existing customers with them and if other comments I heard are a judge, then I suspect there is work that needs to be done.

Hi, I'm afraid not - the free shuttle bus runs from Richmond Market Place. It will leave approx 1 hour prior to the first race.
