Wow, found this amazing quiet campground, lots of tree, history and great walking paths along the very swollen creek.
Do not collect the firewood even if it looks like it is going to waste, this is what gives additional ambience to the park

After driving for hours, we stopped at this park that is just located along the Trans Canada Highway. The Yard Creek park was very quiet, we're the only visitors until a local came with his dog. There is some picnic benches, a tap water in the middle, a shade space with benches and 2 very clean and good smell toilette cabins. These were the cleanest toilette ever we found during our trip. It's a small creek with wild water. We could see it from a creek watching platform

Je moet even de Hwy Nr 1 af om het park binnen te rijden. Aan het einde van de weg is een kleine parkeerplaats met een picknick plek en toilet. Je kan naar een riviertje kijken. Het was erg rustig toen wij er waren. Alleen een local die zijn hond aan het uitlaten was. Leuk om even langs te gaan.

We spent about an hour geocaching, hiking and picking blueberries! May head back later when we have more time...lots of intriguing paths to discover. The river is beautiful! ☀️♥️

Just a note to say that the bridge on the loop road is (permanently) out if approaching from the east/Revelstoke direction. You can enter the park on that side but can't get to the rest of it. You have to come it via the Sicamous side/west.

A great place to spend the night when travelling through. Water, garbage, and sani facilities. Very quiet and secure. Picked berries here in July.

Lovely wooded park with large sites and nice trails. Shelter in day use area perfect for gatherings. No hook ups though but close to town and nice and quiet

Lots of quiet, unserviced campsites. 50's era campground, so the sites are not suitable for big rigs. I like quiet and separation, so this was perfect for my small camper.

We love this campground. It is never busy, easy self registration, no power, outhouses but only $20 a night. There is some great walking paths and you can watch the salmon spawning in the creek during the salmon run. We try to get out there at least a couple of times a year. If you are looking for a place to go swimming, boating or a large family park for kids this is not the place for you. But if you just want to get away for a quiet weekend you have to try this great place out.

This is an excellent campground just off the Transcanada hwy near sicamous. Very large private treed sites with outhouses and drinking water throughout. No power but Only 20$ Per night, self registration so you can arrive Late and find a spot no problem because it's not busy.
Bonus is that you can see the salmon spawning at yard creek if you get the timing right.
