Cheese is fine, some actually very good. Went in twice this week for their locally raised ground beef, non in stock and neither clerk could advise when more stock would become available. New staff just don’t have the customer savvy that the old staff did. Will check in occasionally but has definitely slipped from my go to list.

This is not what you’d expect. Yes, they have some cheeses to purchase. There are no sampling so you have to take a chance, which we did. We bought two kinds of cheese and one we liked and one we did not. That could have been avoided if we could have tasted it. So that 9 1/2 dollars was a waste for us.
We really expected this to be a cheese factory, but what it is, is a small cheese store with a few kinds of cheese. We could have gotten way more choices at a different place.
In our opinion, skip this and get your cheese somewhere else.

We stop into this little cheese shop every time we drive through Lancaster and just love their cheeses: blue, old, cheddar and especially the squeaks!

Terrible company!!!!!
They sent my expensive order Canada post which still had not arrived after 10 days.
When I called the woman just laughed and said "oh well not much I can do"
Don't waist your time and money the have zero customer service.

A low key, simple establishment, but they know how to make (award winning ) cheese. Non-cheese articles for sale include good old-time root beer, and various baked goods. A short hop from the 401, and worth the detour.

We found by chance the Glendarry cheese factory. We were shopping at Rob McIntosh China & Crystal Shops and on our way there, I saw the sign for the cheese factory. The store is small and all the cheeses are prepackaged. The good thing is that all the cheeses are made with Canadian milk (i.e. well controlled production) resulting in an exquisite taste. Unfortunately, I don't think that one can sample the cheese before buying it. I did not ask specifically for tasting but when I asked what's the difference between Nevis and Glendarry aged, the lady described the production process and texture but nothing about the taste. And she did not offer sampling. I saw later that other people also complained about the lack of tasting. For a cheese factory, it's actually odd. Personally, if tasting were available, I would have purchased much larger quantity of their Glendarry aged and non of the Nevis. Yet, it's personal taste. But since the store is far from where we live, I would have not spared coins to get more from my favorite ones. In this particular case, the factory lost on revenue from me. When you don't know what's in the bag, you don't spend much money on it. So, I did not spend too much over there.
Also, it would be nice to either advise you where to buy baguettes and wine to sit and enjoy the cheese or to have a few benches with tables for people to take their time before leaving. If one of the two were available, I would have returned for more cheese before leaving the region.
For these reasons, I don't give them 5*
anyway, excellent quality cheeses but need a bit more work on how subtly to indulge the customer to spend more

We visited Glengarry Cheese on the Sunday of a long weekend. The clerk was knowledgable and offered us quite a few samples. We were very impressed and would recommend stopping by!

This is a real little gem for the community. Award winning cheese.World's best if I am not mistaken. Beautiful clean shop, great variety and friendly staff.

Visited the Glengarry Fine Cheese last week! Nice selection of local goods! Bought fresh local brown eggs, Lankaster Gouda cheese, Blue Cheese, Figora cheese which were all excellent! They also sell butter tarts from Sweet Tooth bakery, many dips, jellies & pepperettes! Excellent country shop with friendly staff!

So you have A1 cheese ( cheese made from certain breeds of cows ) that is easier to digest?
