Can we easily find taxis in Cusco to take us visit the sacred valley ? We are a group of 7 so minibus would be good. Thanks
The roads are super narrow and windy. There are many tour buses that go to and fro Cusco to sacred valley and back. Plus you can book it online before you leave for your trip. Try Best Peru Tours
Hello, just saw your message. Sacred Valley is next to Cusco so you should definitely visit it when in Cusco. We spent one day visiting Cusco, 2 days visiting Sacred Valley, and did a 2 day hike to visit Machu Picchu. You can shorten your visit based on what you want to see. We wanted to see everything so we took our time.
Hello fellow travelers, My wife and I will be in Cusco in mid November to hike the Inca trail. We have 3 days before the hike and we are planning to visit the Sacred Valley for a day to cover Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Moras and Moray. I see that forums suggest going by ourselves or using a taxi service like Taxidatum. I need some help to understand what would be better for us. - We both are in our early 30s, fairly fit, and would like to not be rushed while visiting a place. - Neither of us know Spanish. Will this be a problem to visit the Sacred valley by ourselves? - Apart from the 4 places mentioned above, are there any other places that you would recommend for us to cover? Thanks, Ashwin
I think you will be fine even though you dont know Spanish. Many of the local shop keepers also speak english. I also think it's fine to go on your own, but you may consider hiring a guide to take you out there as this may help make the best of your time.
Hi trekkingrandma what private tour provider did you use and was it just a day returing to Cusco???
We used Sun Gate Tours. they were very good. We took the train from Aqua Caliente in the morning and arrived in Cusco the same day. Yes, in 1 day. Sorry for my late reply.
