A small but very informative museum dedicated to the island, its history and culture. There's quite a bit of reading to do on the display panels but its really worthwhile and provides a detailed history, from the island's"discovery" to information from the 20th century. An odd thing is the display of jars and jars of pickled fish collected by a local ichthyologist. There's a small children's area and other activities for young visitors. More general exhibitions are on show at times. Today we saw a display of memorabilia from the 1980s. We'll worth a visit. Allow at least one hour to appreciate it all.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Bribie Island Seaside Museum. The staff were so informative and welcoming. The layout of the museum was great for our whole family. From 8yrs of age to the adults. There was something for everyone to be engaged. The history was so interesting & the entertainment they provided for the kids. They loved the treasure hunt & the exploring of the crystals and rocks under the microscope. I would recommend visiting if you are in Bribie Island.

I wish more Australian localities would provide this type of easily accessible historical information on the stolen lands.
The museum spills out onto the promenade with insightful signs and photographs along the walkway so there is a lot to see if you have the time. A worthwhile school outing as well, not just for tourists.

A hidden little gem! This wonderful little museum has displays showing the history of Bribie Island, some of its characters and the creatures of its marine environment. Always interesting and worth a visit. Provides holiday activities for children. Located at the southern end of the esplanade at Bongaree, with plenty of parking, except at peak times.

This was a really great way to get to know the island. It has a rich and varied history. The museum was well set out, and not too large. We spent about an hour there, which gave us sufficient time to spend in the different exhibits. There's something to interest everyone....from preserved fish specimens to war bunkers to famous artists. Well worth a visit to get to know the island!

The museum has some very interesting displays to see. Staff are very friendly. There is plenty of easy parking.

What a wonderful place to see the History of Bribie Island. Every thing is easy to read well set out. The staff were informative and very friendly, the gift shop has some lots of things to choice from books, beach bags, tshirts etc. Would recommend to drop in and have a look around.

Was a great insight into the history of Bribie Island, staff was informative, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit and definitely tied in well with the Gday Adventures 4WD tour.
